Esther Schweins
Esther Schweins (born 18 April 1970 in Oberhausen) is a German actress and comedian who became famous through her appearances on the '' RTL Samstag Nacht'' show for which she won the Bayerischer Fernsehpreis in 1994. Schweins survived the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake whilst on holiday with her mother in Sri Lanka. She provided the German voice of Princess Fiona for the dubs of the ''Shrek'' franchise. She has a daughter (born 2007) and a son (born 2008). In 2018, she played British suffragette and political activist Emmeline Pankhurst in the German docudrama ''We are half the World'' (''Die Hälfte der Welt gehört uns'') about the women's suffrage movement in Germany, France and the United Kingdom. Oberhausen
Oberhausen (, ) is a city on the river Emscher in the Ruhr Area, Germany, located between Duisburg and Essen ( ). The city hosts the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen and its Gasometer Oberhausen is an anchor point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage. History Oberhausen was named for its 1847 railway station which had taken its name from the List of castles in North Rhine-Westphalia, Oberhausen Castle. The new borough was formed in 1862 following inflow of people for the local coal mines and steel mills. Awarded town rights in 1874, Oberhausen absorbed several neighbouring boroughs including Alstaden, parts of Styrum and Dümpten in 1910. ''Shrek'' is an American media franchise made by DreamWorks Animation, loosely based on William Steig's 1990 picture book '' Shrek!''. It includes four computer-animated films: '' Shrek'' (2001), '' Shrek 2'' (2004), '' Shrek the Third'' (2007), and ''Shrek Forever After'' (2010). Emmeline Pankhurst ('' née'' Goulden; 15 July 1858 – 14 June 1928) was an English political activist who organised the UK suffragette movement and helped women win the right to vote.
