Esta boca es mía () is an Uruguayan daytime talk show broadcast by Teledoce. It debuted on October 6, 2008, being one of the channel's longest-running current programs. It is presented by Victoria Rodríguez and airs Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Format In each broadcast of the show, the current issues of the country are covered, such as journalistic and political issues. It has a panel of experts, special guests and a gallery of people who attend the study and can ask questions to the guests or panelists on the topics being analyzed. History The show debuted on October 6, 2008, and initially focused on topics such as infidelity, abortion, drugs, sexuality, among others. Victoria Rodríguez (television Presenter)
Victoria Rodríguez Arralde (born December 5, 1972) is an Uruguayan actress, presenter, artist, translator and television figure. She is known for hosting ''Esta Boca es mía,'' a talk show broadcast by Canal 12, since 2008. Biography Rodríguez attended Ivy Thomas Memorial School and then John XXIII Institute. In 1993 she began her activity as a television figure, hosting ''Oxígeno'' and later the program ''Los Viajes del Doce.'' In 2009 she debuted as an actress, playing the Uruguayan poet Juana de Ibarborou. That year he began to lead the new debate program, ''Esta boca es mía'', formed by a panel and where current issues are discussed. She is also a painter. Teledoce Televisora Color, also known as Canal 12 is a Uruguayan free-to-air television network, located in the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo. It is owned by Grupo Disco. Television transmissions commenced in 1962. History It was the third and last private free-to-air channel that opened in Montevideo. Studios are located on 1276 Enriqueta Compte y Riqué Street, being the only one of the private ones that was always kept in its original place. Its first director was Raúl Galana, but soon Horacio Scheck took his place. The station's antenna was installed for several years on the roof of the newspaper ''El País'', but for several years it has been located in the Congress Tower, in the Tres Cruces district. Beatriz Argimón Cedeira (born 14 August 1961) is a Uruguayan politician and notary from the National Party (PN) serving as the 18th Vice President of Uruguay since March 1, 2020, being the first woman elected to that position. Graduated from the University of the Republic in 1989 with a degree in notarization, she also studied human rights, family law, and juvenile law. She served as a National Representative for Montevideo Department between 2000 and 2010, and has been a member of the National Party Board since 2009. Since November 2020, she has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The Iris Awards ( es, Premios Iris), created by the newspaper ''El País'', are given for achievements in Uruguayan radio, television and social networks. History The first edition of the awards was in 1983, although they were not given again until 1995. Since then they have been delivered annually. There are more than 30 categories, among which the Golden Iris ( es, Premio Iris de Oro) is most prominent. The awards are given by the newspaper ''El País'' and disseminated by its entertainment supplement ''Sábado Show''. The trophy's shape is based on a human figure holding an eye with a square iris. The 22nd Iris Awards ceremony, presented by the newspaper El País, honored the best of radio, television and social networks in Uruguay of 2016 and took place at the Radisson Montevideo Victoria Plaza Hotel, Montevideo.
