Essendon High School
Essendon Keilor College was founded in 1992 from the amalgamation of Queens Park Secondary College (formerly Essendon Technical School), Essendon High School, Niddrie High School and Keilor Heights Secondary College. Essendon Keilor College (current enrolment approx 1800) is a multi-campus college providing state education primarily to students from the North and West of Melbourne. The College consists of two Junior Campuses located at Keilor and Niddrie and one Senior Campus located at Essendon. The Essendon Keilor College uniform is a white coloured shirt with the symbol of the school on the left chest and dark blue coloured pants. Niddrie, Victoria
Niddrie is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Moonee Valley local government area. Niddrie recorded a population of 5,901 at the 2021 census. Niddrie is bounded by the Calder Freeway to the north, Steele Creek to the west, Hoffmans Road to the east and Rosehill Road to the south. History Niddrie and the banks of the Maribyrnong River were originally inhabited by the Wurundjeri clan of the Kulin nation. Ryan Crowley
Ryan Crowley (born 5 March 1984) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club and the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played as a midfielder and specialised in a tagging role. AFL career Crowley was first drafted by Fremantle in 2002 with selection 55 at the national draft. At the end of 2004, having only played WAFL football for Subiaco, he was delisted. However the club gave Crowley a second chance and re-selected him with their 3rd pick in the rookie draft. Ken Fletcher (Australian Footballer)
Ken Fletcher (born 21 January 1948) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Bombers. He is the father of Dustin Fletcher who was drafted into the club through the father son rule. A former Essendon High School student who grew up in East Keilor, Victoria, Fletcher had two footballers as neighbours, they being Ken Peucker (No 29 Essendon) and Ted Flemming (footballer), Ted Flemming, a WA Sandover Medal winner (1930). Ken and his older brother practiced football skills daily in a nearby paddock as teenagers. Brian Fitzpatrick (Australian Author)
Brian Charles Fitzpatrick (17 November 1905 – 3 September 1965) was a writer, historian, journalist and one of the founders of the Australian Council for Civil Liberties. Life and career Fitzpatrick was born in Warrnambool, Victoria, the seventh of eight children. His father died when Brian was 14 years old. Brian rebelled against his oldest brother's management of the family after his father's death. Fitzpatrick was educated at Essendon High School and then at the University of Melbourne on a scholarship. He graduated Bachelor of Arts (with honours) in 1925 and Master of Arts in 1934. Barry Davis (footballer)
Barry Davis (born 15 September 1943) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) with Essendon and North Melbourne, before coaching his original team between 1978 and 1980. Playing career Essendon Football Club In the summer of 1961 Barry Davis and a school friend were asked to train with Essendon in a bid to play in the Under 19s. Davis impressed observers and he was asked to participate in pre-season practice matches that included players from the main list. He played in the Reserves for round 1 of the 1961 season. Corey Ellis (born 9 October 1996) is a former professional Australian rules football player for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played 27 matches over four years at after being drafted there with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 AFL National Draft. Early life and junior football Ellis played junior football at Keilor in the Essendon District Football League. Callum Moore (Australian Footballer)
Callum Moore (born 3 September 1996) is a professional Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL), including eight matches over a four-year tenure with and two matches over one season with . Mitchell Banner (born 5 June 1990) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Paul Ahern (born 1 August 1996) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants and the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Lynden Dunn (born 14 May 1987) is a retired professional Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL) for Melbourne from 2005 to 2016 and for Collingwood from 2017 to 2020. He kicked 99 goals in 198 games. Brent Reilly (born 12 November 1983) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
