Esperanza Beach

	Esperanza Beach Esperanza Beach ( Spanish: ''Playa La Esperanza'') is a popular beach on the southern coast of Vieques in La Esperanza, Puerto Real. In comparison to other beaches in the island which are located far away from populated areas, this beach is located close to La Esperanza and it hosts a number of hotels, restaurants, food kiosks and stores. Esperanza Pier, located on the western part of the beach, is considered a landmark of Vieques. It is a very popular weekend destination for locals and visitors alike. 	Esperanza, Puerto Rico Esperanza is a ''comunidad'' in Puerto Real Barrio, on the south side of the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. It was the location of Hacienda Casa del Frances, a historic site listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Climate Due to the town's location inside the tropics, its low elevation, and its position in the Caribbean Sea, Esperanza experiences a Tropical rainforest climate (Köppen ''Af''). This results in a hot and wet climate throughout the year, with no significant change in temperature between seasons. 	Puerto Real, Vieques, Puerto Rico Puerto Real is a barrio in the island-municipality of Vieques, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 1,654.
