Mount Vernon Astral Temple
Mount Vernon Arts Lab is a musical project of the Scottish musician Drew Mulholland, who has also recorded as Black Noise and N. Between 1996 and 2001, a string of EPs, singles, and albums were released. After this he continued to release material as Mount Vernon Astral Temple. History Taking inspiration from Joe Meek, and from Daniel Miller's work as The Normal, Mulholland began creating avant-garde/post-rock recordings in 1996, and soon found the support of independent labels such as Via Satellite and Earworm, who between them issued a series of vinyl-only releases during 1997 and 1998.Strong, Martin C. The Michel Publicity Window E
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of the archaic pr ...

I, Thighpaulsandra
''I, Thighpaulsandra'' is the debut album by Thighpaulsandra. ''I'' showcased Thighpaulsandra's interests in krautrock, experimental and industrial music and featured his only single to date, " Michel Publicity Window". Closing song "Beneath the Frozen Lake of Stars" was originally recorded for a third album by Queen Elizabeth, which featured Thighpaulsandra and Julian Cope, but was revised and expanded for inclusion on this album. The vinyl edition was limited to 1000 copies on "moon's milk" white vinyl, with an additional 55 copies on amethyst-coloured vinyl; this smaller batch, along with being autographed, had its sleeve personally damaged by Thighpaulsandra to the extent that the recipient saw fit. Track listing CD pressing LP pressing Personnel * Thighpaulsandra - vocals, piano, hammond organ, vox organ, mellotron, synthesizer, trumpet, French horn, harpsichord, theremin, CS80, electronics, tapes, filters, ring modulators * Martin Schellard - guitars; b ...

Constant Shallowness Leads To Evil
''Constant Shallowness Leads To Evil'' is a CD by Coil, released the same year as ''Queens of the Circulating Library''. Like ''Queens'', this album originally came packaged only in a pink c-shell case, with no official cover art except the on-disc printing. According to the credits, "Coil were Thighpaulsandra, John Balance, & Peter Christopherson. Thanks to Simon Norris." The track names provided are "Higher Beings Command", "I Am the Green Child", "Beige", "Lowest Common Abominator", "Free Base Chakra", and "Tunnel of Goats". The track listing is rather mysterious as it only lists six tracks while 23 tracks are actually pressed on the CD. The most commonly given explanation (including that of the official archive) is that the final song title, "Tunnel of Goats", is that of an 18-track suite which is, along with the trio of tracks before it, the main musical basis of the live opus "Constant Shallowness Leads to Evil". Release notes for the 2022 remaster state that this track la ...

Coil Presents Time Machines
''Coil Presents Time Machines'' was a live CD by Coil. This CD was produced in a limited amount of 1,000 copies and was given away with the initial mail orders of ''Musick to Play in the Dark Vol. 2''. The CD is a live performance which took place on 2 April 2000 at the Cornucopia festival in the Royal Festival Hall in London, England. The name of the performance was "Time Machines from the Heart of Darkness". The album was later reissued as "CD A" on '' Live One'' in an unaltered form. Release "Everything Keeps Dissolving" and "Chasms" appear on "CD B" of '' Live One'' as well. However, "Chasms" is titled "Blue Chasms". Neither of these songs have had a proper studio release. The lyrics for "Chasms" are "every man and woman is a star", a phrase coined by Aleister Crowley. "Circulating" is a shortened live version of '' Queens of the Circulating Library''. John Balance, Peter Christopherson, Simon Norris, and Thighpaulsandra are credited as performance members. Dorothy Lewis' ( ...

Thighpaulsandra
Timothy Lewis – best known by the stage name Thighpaulsandra – is a Welsh experimental musician and multi-instrumentalist, known mostly for performing on synthesizers and keyboards. He began his career working with Julian Cope in the late 1980s, becoming a member of Cope's touring band. A collaboration with Cope in 1993 followed, forming the experimental duo Queen Elizabeth. In 1997, former Cope guitarist Mike Mooney invited Thighpaulsandra to fill in for the departing Kate Radley on a Spiritualized tour, and he remained with the band until early 2008. In 1998, Lewis also became a member of the experimental band Coil. He has subsequently released several solo albums under the Thighpaulsandra moniker. Lewis currently performs and records as part of URUK with Massimo Pupillo (of Italian band Zu) and UUUU, a band also featuring Valentina Magaletti and Wire members Graham Lewis and Matthew Simms. Queens Of The Circulating Library
''Queens of the Circulating Library'' is a 2000 album by the British experimental group Coil. It is unusual in the sense that it is perhaps the only release without participation from Peter Christopherson. On this album, Coil were: "Thighpaulsandra & John Balance with Dorothy Lewis as the queen of the circulating library. Thanks to Simon Norris." The lyrics were written by John Balance and spoken by Dorothy Lewis, Thighpaulsandra's mother. The line "It's in the trees, it's coming" that appears in the lyrics is from the 1957 British horror film ''Night of the Demon'', and had previously appeared in sampled form in the song "Hounds of Love" by Kate Bush. The album was initially released on the date of the Coil Presents Time Machines concert. The original packaging was clear, however a wider issue of the album used pink, c-shell CD cases. No album art was included for this release. In 2022, Dais Records remastered and reissued the album on vinyl record (in six different colorways, ...
