Alajuelita Canton
Alajuelita is a canton in the San José province of Costa Rica. History Alajuelita was created on 4 June 1909 by decree 58. The first settlements in the area occurred by 1650. The name "Alajuelita" comes from a diminutive form of the name of Alajuela Province due to original settlers coming from that province. Geography Alajuelita has an area of km² and a mean elevation of metres. The odd-shaped canton reaches southwest from the suburbs of the national capital city of San José. It is delineated by the Tiribí River on the northeast, Cañas River on the east, Poás River on the southeast, and the Cerros de Escazú at it far southwestern end. San Felipe, Zambales
San Felipe, officially the Municipality of San Felipe (Filipino language, Filipino: Bayan ng San Felipe), is a 4th class municipality of the Philippines, municipality in the Philippine Province, province of Zambales, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 25,033 people. Much of the population are Ilocanos, descendants of migrants from Ilocos. Education In Costa Rica
Education in Costa Rica is divided in 3 cycles: pre-education (before age 7), primary education (from 6-7 to 12-13), and secondary school (from 12-13 to 17-18), which leads to higher education. School year starts between the second and third week of February, stops at the last week of June, it continues again between the third and fourth week of July and finishes between the last week of November (private kindergartens, schools and high schools) and the second week of December (public kindergartens, schools and high schools). Preschool and basic education are free to the public. Elementary and secondary school are both divided in two cycles. Since 1869, education is free and compulsory (article 78 of the constitution). Costa Rica's education system is ranked 54th in the "Global Competitiveness Report 2013–14", and is described as of "high quality". The literacy rate in Costa Rica is 97.9%.
