Abelardo Escobar Prieto (19 January 1938 – 11 February 2019) was a Mexican politician and cabinet minister who served as Minister of Agrarian, Land, and Urban Development (then the Ministry of Agrarian Reform) from April 2006 to December 2012 under the administrations of presidents Vicente Fox and Felipe Calderón. Life Escobar was born in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua and was a member of the National Action Party (PAN). During his extensive academic, professional and political career, he was Director General of his alma mater for three consecutive years until 1976. Ethicist
An ethicist is one whose judgment on ethics and ethical codes has come to be trusted by a specific community, and (importantly) is expressed in some way that makes it possible for others to mimic or approximate that judgment. Following the advice of ethicists is one means of acquiring knowledge about what that ethicist says (see argument, argument from authority). The term jurist describes an ethicist whose judgment on law becomes part of a legal code, or otherwise has force of law. This may be due to formal (de jure) state sanction. Some jurists have less formal (de facto) backing by an ethical community, e.g. a religious community. Elizam Escobar (May 24, 1948 – January 15, 2021) was a Puerto Rican art theorist, poet, visual artist and writer. He served a lengthy prison sentence after being convicted while a member of the FALN. Early years Escobar was born in Puerto Rico's second largest city, Ponce, Puerto Rico, on the southern part of the island. There he received his primary and secondary education. As a child, he always enjoyed drawing and painting. After Escobar graduated from high school he enrolled and attended the University of Puerto Rico to pursue his artistic studies.
