Erzurumspor was a sports club located in Erzurum, Turkey. The football club played in the Turkish Regional Amateur League. The club also played in Turkish First League between 1998–2001. It fell into money shortage since 2000 and gradually fell into Second League Category A in 2001 and Second league Category B in 2003. It was finally forced to relegate TFF Third League after not playing an away match at Karsspor on January 31, 2010. Erzurumspor were also relegated from Third League and was dissolved in 2015 and replaced with Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyespor, which was founded in 1967. Erzurum (; ) is a city in eastern Anatolia, Turkey. It is the largest city and capital of Erzurum Province and is 1,900 meters (6,233 feet) above sea level. Erzurum had a population of 367,250 in 2010. The city uses the double-headed eagle as its coat-of-arms, a motif that has been a common symbol throughout Anatolia since the Bronze Age. Erzurum has winter sports facilities and hosted the 2011 Winter Universiade. Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyespor
Erzurumspor Futbol Kulübü, is a Turkish professional football club located in Erzurum who plays in the Süper Lig, the top tier of Turkish football. Founded in 2005, the colours of club are blue and white. The club started to play football competitions in 2010 at amateur level. Achieving consecutive promotions between 2016 and 2018, the club earned to compete at Süper Lig at 2018–19 season. History The club has been founded as Erzurum Büyüşehir Belediyespor in 2005. The TFF 1. Lig, officially known as Spor Toto 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The league was called ''Türk Telekom Lig A'' in the 2006–2007 season, and was renamed to ''TFF First League'' prior to the 2007–08 season. As of 16 January 2008 the league was renamed as Bank Asya 1. TFF 3. Lig (Turkish Football Federation Third League) is the fourth level in the Turkish football league system.
