Erzsébet Széll
Erzsébet Széll (born 7 December 1945) is a Hungarian former professional tennis player. A five-time national doubles champion, Széll was active on tour in the 1960s and 1970s. Széll won a bronze medal in singles at the 1965 Summer Universiade and reached the third round of the 1967 French Championships. She played two singles and two doubles rubbers for Hungary in the Federation Cup Federation Cup or Fed Cup is the former name of the premier world team competition in women's tennis. The 1967 French Championships (now known as the French Open) was a tennis tournament that took place on the outdoor clay courts at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France. Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. The Billie Jean King Cup (or the BJK Cup) is the premier international team competition in women's tennis, launched as the Federation Cup in 1963 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
