Erra Mallelu
''Erra Mallelu'' () is a 1981 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by Dhavala Satyam from a story written by Madala Ranga Rao. The film stars Ranga Rao, Murali Mohan, Giri Babu and Ranganath. It has music composed by K. Chakravarthy. In the film, two men start a revolution against their village chiefs and the owner of a factory in the neighbouring village. ''Erra Mallelu'' was released on 1 May 1981 coinciding with the International Workers' Day (May Day), and emerged successful at the box office. The film is noted to inspire several other communist-themed films in Telugu cinema. Dhavala Satyam
Davala Satyam is an Indian film director, producer and screenplay writer. He has worked predominantly in Telugu cinema since the early 1980s. Satyam is known for his revolutionary movies known as Erra Cinema in Telugu. His film Yuvatharam Kadilindi won a Nandi Award for Best Feature Film from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and M. Prabhakar Reddy won the Nandi Award for Best Actor in 1980. He associated with film personalities such Dasari Narayana Rao, Madala Ranga Rao, Chiranjeevi, Murali Mohan and R. Narayana Murthy. Satyam directed ''Chaitanya Ratham'' (1987), a controversial biopic on politician Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga and his brother Vangaveeti Radha despite the political pressures. Sri Lakshmi (actress)
Sri Lakshmi is an Indian actress who is known for her comic roles in Telugu films. She has also appeared in Tamil films. More than 500 films to her credit, she later turned her attention towards television serials. Lakshmi has received four Nandi Awards for Best Female Comedian. ''Osey Ramulamma'' is a 1997 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. The film is based on a woman's rebellion in Telangana and stars Vijayashanti as the title character. Rao and Rami Reddy also star while Krishna makes a cameo appearance. The film premiered at the 1998 International Film Festival of India in the mainstream section. Plot Ramulamma is born into the Dalit caste, making her an "untouchable", in the village. At the age of 13, she is impregnated by the Dora, Jagannayak Patwari. After giving birth to the baby, Patwari comes to know of its existence. Andhra Patrika
Andhra Patrika was the weekly newspaper of the nationalist movement in the Telugu speaking region founded by Kasinadhuni Nageswara Rao in 1908. It later transformed into a daily newspaper before it closed down in 1991. It helped to shape both modern Telugu language and an identity that resulted in the creation of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
