Ernesto Hernán Rodríguez Gómez (born January 15, 1969 in Cordoba, Argentina) is a volleyball player who represented Spain at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. There he finished ninth place with the Men's National Team. He also competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games. The most recent games were held in 2019: the Winter Universiade was held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia while the Summer Universiade was held in Naples, Italy.
