Ernesto Maceda
Ernesto "Ernie" Madarang Maceda Sr. (March 26, 1935 – June 20, 2016) was a Filipino politician, lawyer, and columnist who served as a Senator of the Philippines from 1971 to 1972 and again from 1987 to 1998. He served as Senate President from 1996 to 1998. Early life and career Maceda was born on March 26, 1935, in Pagsanjan, Laguna. Maceda earned his Associate in Arts degree, magna cum laude, in 1952, and Bachelor of Laws degree, cum laude, from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1956. He then finished Master of Laws, taxation and international law, at Harvard Law School, Massachusetts, US, in 1957. At the age of 23, he was hailed as the No. 1 councilor of Manila in 1959. His Excellency
Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Once entitled to the title "Excellency", the holder usually retains the right to that courtesy throughout their lifetime, although in some cases the title is attached to a particular office, and is held only for the duration of that office. Edward Michael Vera Perez Maceda (born October 3, 1970) is a Filipino lawyer and politician serving as the representative of Manila's 4th district since 2016. Prior to his election as congressman, he was councilor of the same district from 1995 to 2004 and from 2007 to 2016. Early life and education Maceda was born on October 3, 1970, the youngest of five sons of Ernesto Maceda and Maria Azucena, popularly known as Marichu Vera-Perez. As a career management consultant, he was named worldwide managing partner of Bain & Company in November 2017 and took the helm in March 2018. Maria Azucena "Marichu" Vera-Perez Maceda was a Filipino film producer. Early life Maria Azucena Vera-Perez, was born on December 23, 1942 to Jose R. Perez and Azucena "Nene" Vera who owned and managed Sampaguita Pictures. Maria Azucena or Marichu, was the eldest of seven children. Career Maceda was born to the Vera-Perez family who are known for owning Sampaguita Pictures, a major production company in the Philippines from the 1930s to the 1970s.
