Erik Rubín
Erik Rubín Milanszenko (born 30 January 1971) is a Mexican singer and actor. He was a member of the Mexican teen pop group Timbiriche. Early career At the age of 12, Rubín joined the group Timbiriche, one of the most important and influential pop bands of the 1980s on the Spanish language charts. His entry into the group transformed it into a septet. His first album with the group was their fourth album. While with the group, he recorded more than 10 albums, participated in several television specials, and visited various countries during their concert tours. He is best known for hits such as "Mágico amor", "Ámame hasta con los dientes" and "Princesa Tibetana". Rubín remained with Timbiriche until 1991. The last Timbiriche album he worked on was their tenth. In 1998 he joined on Timbiriche reunion and he wrote new songs for the album ''El Concierto'', which he co-produced. Eric J. Rubin is an American microbiologist, infectious disease specialist, and is currently the editor-in-chief of the ''New England Journal of Medicine''. He is also an adjunct professor of immunology and infectious diseases and was formerly the Irene Heinz Given Professor and chair of the department of immunology and infectious diseases at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. ''Rent'' is a rock musical with music, lyrics, and book by Jonathan Larson, loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's 1896 opera ''La Bohème''. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in Lower Manhattan's East Village in the thriving days of bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The musical was first seen in a workshop production at New York Theatre Workshop in 1993. This same off-Broadway theatre was also the musical's initial home following its official 1996 opening. ''Timbiriche'' (also known for a brief time as ''La Banda Timbiriche'') is a Mexican pop music group. The group started as a children's group in 1981 and managed to evolve successfully into adulthood. Timbiriche is considered one of the most iconic Latin Pop acts of the 1980s and the early 1990s. It was the start of numerous figures in the Latin American entertainment world, including successful singers like Thalía, Paulina Rubio and Edith Márquez, as well as actors, composers and conductors. Sasha, Benny y Erik are a pop supergroup from Mexico. The group was formed by 3 former members of the Mexican pop group Timbiriche, consisting of Sasha Sokol, Benny Ibarra and Erik Rubin who are close friends in real life. With much anticipation by their fans, Sasha, Benny and Erik released the live album '' Primera Fila: Sasha Benny Erik''. The project has enjoyed much success with a national tour that started in late 2012 and has continued through much of 2014. ''Timbiriche X'' is the tenth album released by Mexican pop and rock band Timbiriche. The first single "Me Pongo Mal" was released in late 1989 and by the time the full album debuted in April 1990, the single was at the top of the charts. Timbiriche in 1990 featured Paulina Rubio, Bibi Gaytán, Edith Márquez, Erik Rubin, Diego Schoening and Claudio Bermúdez. Patty Tanus was the seventh member during the recording of the album and participated in the initial promotion, but was replaced by Silvia Campos by the time the album was released. ''Timbiriche VIII & IX'' is the eighth and ninth studio album by Mexican pop group Timbiriche, released on May 7, 1988, by Fonovisa Records. It was the first album that Edith Márquez recorded with the group after Mariana Garza left to start a solo career, and the last for Alix Bauer, Eduardo Capetillo and Thalía Sodi. In 1989, the album was certified Platinum, it sold over one million copies in Mexico. Production details In 1988 goes on sale the double album ''Timbiriche VIII & IX''.
