Eric Walters (newsreader)
Eric Walters (4 July 1937 – 18 August 2010) was an Australian journalist, media trainer and former television presenter. He was best known for his long-running stint as early morning anchor for the Nine Network, both on the ''Today'' and '' National Nine Early Morning News''. Career Walters joined Channel 7 Perth in 1961, aged 24, as a reporter and presenter. In the 1970s, Walters worked at TEN-10 Sydney as a newsreader on ''Eyewitness News''. He joined the Nine Network in 1982 as newsreader and inaugural team member for its newly launched ''Today''. He continued as national morning anchor with Nine until 1990 when he returned to Network Ten to again present its 6:00pm newscast in Sydney. The Nine Network (stylised 9Network, commonly known as Channel Nine or simply Nine) is an Australian commercial free-to-air television network. Ian Ross (newsreader)
Ian Charles "Roscoe" Ross (24 June 194030 April 2014) was an Australian television news presenter for ''Seven News'' in Sydney and for '' Nine News''. Career Commonly known as "Roscoe", Ross began his career in 1957 at Sydney radio station 2GB. He returned to Sydney as a ''National Nine News'' reporter in 1965. Ross remained at Nine for 38 years, where he was most known for his tenure as ''Today'' news presenter. There, he also presented ''National Nine News'' on many occasions, filling in for presenters who were either on leave or sick. In 1997, Ross appeared as himself in the acclaimed Australian film ''The Castle''. Stan Grant (born 30 September 1963) is an Australian journalist, writer and radio and television presenter, since the 1990s. He has written and spoken on Indigenous issues and his Aboriginal identity. He is a Wiradjuri man. Early years Grant was born on 30 September 1963 in Griffith, New South Wales, the son of Stan Grant Sr, an elder of the Wiradjuri people and Betty Grant (nee Cameron), born near Coonabarabran, the daughter of a white woman and an Kamilaroi Aboriginal man. The Wiradjuri are an Aboriginal Australian people from the south-west inland region of New South Wales. He spent much of his childhood in inner Victoria where the Wiradjuri also have roots. Real Life (TV Program)
''Real Life'' was an Australian current affairs television program that aired on the Seven Network from 20 January 1992 to 1 December 1994. Its format was similar to other tabloid current affairs shows airing at the time, these being ''A Current Affair'' and '' Hinch'', which had recently been axed by the Seven Network and picked up by Network Ten. It was mainly presented by Stan Grant and the reporters included former Network Ten newsreader Eric Walters and Edwina Gatenby.
