Eri Yonamine
is a Japanese professional racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Yonamine only switched from tennis to cycling when in college at Tsukuba University, and quickly achieved success in Japan, coming in second in both the Japanese National Road Race Championships and the Japanese National Time Trial Championships in 2012 at age 21. The next year, she won both the national road race and time trial championships. In the spring of 2016, she signed a short-term contract with the American UCI team , and later repeated her victory in the national time trial. Yonamine was selected to represent Japan in the 2016 Summer Olympics. 2019 Women's Tour Of Scotland
The 2019 Women's Tour of Scotland was the inaugural and only edition of the Women's Tour of Scotland, a women's cycling stage race held in Scotland, UK. It was run from 9 to 11 August 2019. The race was scheduled for 3 stages, covering a total of , but the race's opening stage was abandoned due to adverse weather conditions. It was classified as a class 2.1 event by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The race was won by American rider Leah Thomas, riding for the team. Having finished fourth in the second stage in Perth – won by Canada's Alison Jackson () – Thomas won the final stage in an eight-rider sprint at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, and with bonus seconds accumulated at intermediate sprints during the day, Thomas assumed the leader's jersey from Jackson by five seconds. The Tour of the Gila is a cycling stage race for both men and women located in New Mexico, United States. It is sponsored by the component maker SRAM. The "Gila" began in 1987. Beginning in 2012, the men's Gila has been added to the UCI America Tour as a UCI classification 2.2 stage race, which permits UCI ProTeams to enter if they so choose; beginning in 2015, the women's Gila has also been added to the women's UCI international tour as a UCI classification 2.2 stage race.
