Ergastolo
''Ergastolo'' (aka ''Prison'') is a black and white Italian films of 1952, 1952 Italy, Italian crime melodrama film directed by Luigi Capuano. Plot Rosa Lulli, has an illegitimate 20-year-old son, named Stefano, who lives with her in the house of Professor Arlotta. Stefano is in love with Lydia, the granddaughter of the professor. The couple has a gambling addiction: the need to obtain a large sum to meet gambling debts, which pushes him to accept the loving invitation of Jeannette, owner of a dance school, where Stefano goes to play. But Jeannette is the lover of Pasquale Anitra, head of a criminal gang. When he is killed in Jeannette's home, Stefano is framed and arrested and tried for the murder. Stefano is sentenced to life in prison. Lydia, attending dance school, later hears a conversation in which Jeannette confesses to the murder. Wilma Montesi
Wilma Montesi (3 February 1932 – 9 April 1953) was an Italian woman whose body was discovered near Rome. The finding of her lifeless body on a public beach near Torvajanica, on Rome's littoral, led to prolonged investigations involving sensational allegations of drug and sex orgies in Roman society. The alleged involvement of Ugo Montagna and Piero Piccioni (son of deputy prime minister, Attilio Piccioni and lover of actress Alida Valli) caused a scandal. Subsequently they were absolved of all charges. The case remains unsolved, including the cause of death. Franco Interlenghi (29 October 1931 – 10 September 2015) was an Italian actor. He made his acting debut at 15 in Vittorio De Sica's 1946 Neorealist film ''Sciuscià''. He has worked with great directors such as Alessandro Blasetti in '' Fabiola'', Roberto Rossellini in ''Viva l'Italia!'' and '' Il generale della Rovere'', Federico Fellini in ''I vitelloni'', Michelangelo Antonioni in '' I vinti'', Mauro Bolognini in ''La notte brava'' and Luchino Visconti in his stage adaptation of ''Death of a Salesman''. He also appeared in international films, such as Joseph L. Ernesto Almirante (24 September 1877 – 13 December 1964) was an Italian film and stage actor. Life and career Born in Mistretta into a family of actors, Almirante worked several years on stage along his father Nunzio. He was also active as agent and organizer of several stage companies. After an occasional film role in the 1919 mute film ''Federica d'Illirio'', starting from mid-1930s Almirante became one of the most active character actors of his time. Marisa Merlini (6 August 1923 – 27 July 2008) was an Italian character actress active in Italy's post-World War II cinema. Merlini appeared in over fifty films during her career, which spanned from World War II to 2005. In Luigi Comencini's 1953 film '' Pane, amore e fantasia'', she portrayed Annarella, a village midwife, who marries the local police marshal, played by Vittorio De Sica. Bruno Corelli (20 August 1918 – 17 February 1983) was an Italian actor.
