Ercüment Sunter
Ercüment Sunter (born 6 January 1955) is a Turkish former national basketballer and a coach. Sunter had managed many teams in Turkish Basketball League as an experienced coach for over 20 years. Beslen, Türk Telekom B.K. (former Turkish PTT basketball team), Ülkerspor are among the teams he coached. Sunter also coached Turkey national basketball team on both juniors and seniors level and competed in EuroBasket 1997 in Spain. He joined Türk Telekom B.K. in the beginning of 2007-08 season and got the record as the coach who managed the team for 10 seasons, the longest period. He is current head coach of Türk Telekom Türk Telekom is a state-owned Turkish telecommunications company. Türk Telekom was separated from Turkish Post (PTT) in 1995. Turkey National Basketball Team
The Turkey men's national basketball team ( tr, Türkiye Millî Basketbol Takımı) represents Turkey in international basketball tournaments. They are governed by the Turkish Basketball Federation. Their nickname is the ''12 Dev Adam'', meaning 12 Giant Men. Turkey has competed at every major international basketball tournament. The 1997 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 1997, was the 30th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe, which also served as Europe qualifier for the 1998 FIBA World Championship, giving a berth to the top four (or five, depending on Greece reaching one of the top four places) teams in the final standings.
