Equioscillation Theorem
In mathematics, the equioscillation theorem concerns the approximation of continuous functions using polynomials when the merit function is the maximum difference (uniform norm). Its discovery is attributed to Chebyshev. Statement Let f be a continuous function from ,b/math> to \mathbb.
