Equestrian At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Team Dressage
The team dressage event at the 2020 Summer Olympics is scheduled to take place from 24 to 27 July 2021 at the Baji Koen. Like all other equestrian events, the dressage competition is open-gender, with both male and female athletes competing in the same division. 45 riders (15 teams of 3) from 15 nations are expected to compete. Background This will be the 21st appearance of the event. Unlike the rest of the current equestrian programme—five events which have been held continuously since 1912 (with one, individual jumping, also held in 1900)—there was no team dressage event in 1912, 1920, 1924, or 1960. Antonia Ramel
Antonia Ramel (born 2 July 1985, Bettna) is a Swedish equestrian athlete. She competed at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam where she won team bronze with the Swedish dressage team. Her younger sister Juliette Ramel competed at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Together they were in the bronze-winning team in Rotterdam. Therese Nilshagen (born 24 January 1983) is a Swedish dressage rider. At the European Championships in Gothenburg 2017, she won team silver and at the Rotterdam 2019, she won team bronze, both with the black stallion Dante Weltino OLD. Marlies Anne van Baalen (born 30 August 1980 in Den Bosch, North Brabant) is a Dutch Dressage equestrian. She is Coby van Baalen's daughter. Van Baalen represented the Netherlands at the 2004 Summer Olympics where she finished in 43rd position in the individual rankings. Edward Gal (born 4 March 1970 in Rheden) is a Dutch dressage rider. He and the stallion Totilas (nicknamed "Toto"), were triple gold medalists at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, becoming the first horse-rider partnership ever to sweep the three available dressage gold medals at a single FEI World Games. Going into the 2010 Games, they had amassed multiple world-record scores in international competition, leading one American journalist to call them "rock stars in the horse world". Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour (born 2 January 1992) is a Danish Olympic dressage horse rider. Representing Denmark, she competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro where she finished 13th in the individual and 6th in the team competition.
