''Epimartyria bimaculella'' is a species of moth belonging to the family Micropterigidae. It was described by Davis and Landry in 2012. It is found in north-western Washington and southern British Columbia. The length of the forewings is . Adults of most resemble those of ''Epimartyria pardella'' in possessing dark fuscous forewings marked by pale golden spots. A total of two yellowish spots occur, with only a single large costal spot present beyond the middle of the forewing. Specimens were captured by sweeping low lying vegetation or during diurnal flight along a shaded seepage in a Douglas fir–western red cedar forest where leafy liverworts grew. Micropterigoidea is the superfamily of "mandibulate archaic moths", all placed in the single family Micropterigidae, containing currently about twenty living genera. They are considered the most primitive extant lineage of lepidoptera (Kristensen, 1999). The name comes from the Greek for ''mikros'', little and ''pterux'', a wing. The fossil record of the group goes back to the middle-late Jurassic with the earliest known species being '' Auliepterix'' from the Karabastau Formation in Kazakhstan. Thomas de Grey, 6th Baron Walsingham (29 July 1843 – 3 December 1919), of Merton Hall, Norfolk, was an English politician and amateur entomologist. Biography Walsingham was the son of Thomas de Grey, 5th Baron Walsingham, and Augusta-Louisa, daughter of Sir Robert Frankland-Russell, 7th Baronet. He was born on Stanhope Street in Mayfair, the family's London house. He was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge. He sat as Conservative Member of Parliament for West Norfolk from 1865 until 1870, when he succeeded to the title and estates of his father, and entered the House of Lords. From 1874 to 1875 he served as a Lord-in-waiting (government whip) in the second Conservative government of Benjamin Disraeli.
