Eoghan O'Donnell
Eoghan O'Donnell (born 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays for Dublin Senior Championship club Whitehall Colmcille and at inter-county level with the Dublin senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-back. He was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, where his parents were teachers and working for a charity. Whitehall Colmcille GAA
Whitehall Colmcille (Irish: ''Fionnbhrú Colmcille'' ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based on Collins' Avenue in Dublin 9, Ireland. The Club has contributed in a big way to the success of various County Football teams and All Ireland titles producing many well known names. History Whitehall Gaels took over the lease Thorndale Tennis Club had with Dublin Corporation on Collins Avenue in 1966. Whitehall Gaels merged with Cumann Barra Colmcille in 1973 the objective being of strengthening the Hurling side of the Club, as Colmcille was basically a Hurling Club. Both clubs had senior officials linked to each other that made the amalgamation a smooth one. The Club has won Hurling and Football Championships since then. The club is still there with a popular members bar (opened 1978), sports hall (built 1986) and ancillary rooms. 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 53rd staging of the All-Ireland inter-county championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 25 May 2016 and ended on 10 September 2016. Limerick entered the championship as the defending champions. They were beaten by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. On 10 September 2016 Waterford won the championship following a 5-15 to 0-14 defeat of Galway in the All-Ireland final. This was their second All-Ireland title and their first in 24 championship seasons. Format Leinster, Munster and Ulster each organise a provincial under-21 championship. Connacht do not organise a provincial championship and are represented by Galway. The three provincial champions and Galway enter the All-Ireland semi-finals. Whitehall is a road and area in the City of Westminster, Central London. The road forms the first part of the A3212 road from Trafalgar Square to Chelsea. It is the main thoroughfare running south from Trafalgar Square towards Parliament Square. The street is recognised as the centre of the Government of the United Kingdom and is lined with numerous departments and ministries, including the Ministry of Defence, Horse Guards and the Cabinet Office. Consequently, the name "Whitehall" is used as a metonym for the British civil service and government, and as the geographic name for the surrounding area. Danny Sutcliffe (born 24 February 1992) is a hurler who plays for the St Jude's club and at senior level for the Dublin county team. Sutcliffe was part of the Dublin minor football team in 2009 whom he won a Leinster title. Sutcliffe later became one of the "well-known names on the New York side" that competes in the Connacht Senior Football Championship, according to the ''Irish Independent''. 2012 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2012 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 82nd staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 21 April 2012 and ended on 30 September 2012. Galway entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 30 September 2012, Tipperary won the championship following a 2-18 to 1-11 defeat of Dublin in a replay of the All-Ireland final. This was their 19th All-Ireland title and their first title since 2007. It was Tipperary and Dublin's first meeting in an All-Ireland final since 1954. Leinster Minor Hurling Championship
The Leinster GAA Hurling Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland Leinster GAA Hurling Minor Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players under the age of 17 in the province of Leinster, and has been contested every year – except for a three-year absence during the Emergency – since the 1928 championship. The final, usually held on the last Sunday in June, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during April, May and June, and the results determine which team receives the Hanrahan Cup. The Leinster GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 Championship known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The championship was contested as the Leinster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. It is sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy. The series of games are played during the summer months with the Leinster final currently being played in July. The prize for the winning team is the Seán Robbins Cup. DCU GAA
Dublin City University Gaelic Athletic Association Club ( ga, Cumann Luth Chleas Gael Ollscoil Chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath) is the GAA club at Dublin City University. The club fields teams in men's Gaelic football, hurling, ladies' Gaelic football and camogie. It also organises Gaelic handball. The club mainly competes in intervarsity competitions such as the Sigerson Cup, the Fitzgibbon Cup, the O'Connor Cup and the Ashbourne Cup.
