Eoghan McSweeney (born 1997) is an Irish Gaelic footballer. At club he plays with Knocknagree and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. He usually lines out as a forward. Knocknagree
Knocknagree (; the hill of the horse stud) is located in the north-west of County Cork in Ireland. Located on the R582 (Ballydesmond to Macroom) regional road it is 5 km north of Rathmore. It is approximately one mile from the Cork-Kerry border, and looks south towards the Blackwater River. Across the Blackwater River is Gneeveguilla, one of the nearest villages on the other side of border with County Kerry. Knocknagree is within the Cork North-West (Dáil constituency). The village had, in 2004 and 2005, seen extensive redevelopment on the expansive "Fairfield" or Village Green. Before the advent of the modern cattle-mart, this green was the venue of one of the largest livestock markets in Munster. The monthly "fair", as it was known, died out in the 1970s. All-Ireland Junior Club Football Championship
The All-Ireland Junior Club Football Championship is a Gaelic football competition which began in 2002 and is played by the junior club champions of each county. Prior to that a number of unofficial competitions were held. The winners of each county's junior football championship compete in four provincial championships. The four provincial winners compete in the All Ireland. Ardfert Gaa, Ardfert, a club from Kerry, made history when they won the All-Ireland Junior Club Football Championship in 2006 and then won the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship in 2007. Kerry clubs have enjoyed the most success, with ten clubs winning the All-Ireland Junior Club Football Championship since its official inauguration in 2004. Duhallow Junior A Football Championship
The Duhallow Junior A Football Championship is the top footballing competition in the Duhallow division in Cork. It was first run after the formation of the Duhallow division in 1933. The Championship includes a group stage, therefore every team has at least 2 matches. The winners and runner up of this competition go on to compete in the Cork Junior A Football Championship. Cullen are the title-holders after defeating Kanturk by 4-16 to 1-02 in the 2022 championship final played in Boherbue. Format Group stage The 6 teams are divided into two groups of three. Over the course of the group stage, each team plays once against the others in the group, resulting in each team being guaranteed at least two games. Two points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. The teams are ranked in the group stage table by points gained, then scoring difference and then their head-to-head record. The Cork Junior A Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-Op Superstores Cork Junior A Football Championship and abbreviated to the Cork JAFC) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Cork County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the top-ranking junior clubs in the county of Cork in Ireland. The Munster Junior Club Football Championship, formally known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Junior Club Football Championship, is a Gaelic football competition, organized by the Munster provincial council of the Gaelic Athletic Association. 2020 Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship
The 2020 Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship was the 15th staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2006. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 19 November 2019. The championship was scheduled to begin in April 2020, however, it was postponed indefinitely due to the 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Ireland. The championship eventually began on 25 July 2020 and, after being suspended once again on 5 October 2020, eventually ended on 1 August 2021. The final was played on 1 August 2021 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Knocknagree and Kanturk, in what was their first meeting in a final.
