Entex Adventure Vision
Adventure Vision is a cartridge-based video game console released by Entex Industries in either August or October 1982. The launch price of the system was $79.95. The monitor, game controls, and computer hardware are all contained within a single portable unit. The LED monitor can only display red pixels. Four games were released, all of which are arcade ports. Either approximately 10,000 or 50,757 units were produced. Adventure Vision was Entex's second-generation system following the Entex Select-A-Game, released a year earlier in 1981. Description Control is through a single multi-position joystick and two sets of four buttons, one on each side of the joystick, for ease of play by both left- and right-handed players. Multi Emulator Super System
Multi Emulator Super System (MESS) is an emulator for various consoles and computer systems, based on the MAME core. It used to be a standalone program (which has since been discontinued), but is now integrated into MAME (which is actively developed). MESS emulates portable and console gaming systems, computer platforms, and calculators. The project strives for accuracy and portability and therefore is not always the fastest emulator for any one particular system. Its accuracy makes it also useful for homebrew game development. As of April 2015 MESS supported 994 unique systems with 2,106 total system variations. However, not all of the systems in MESS are functional; some are marked as non-working or are in development. Revision is a demoparty which takes place on Easter in Saarbrücken, Germany. It is the successor of the Breakpoint party series, and retains many of the organizing staff. The event was established in 2011, after Breakpoint had announced its end in 2010. The party hosts around 800 people from around the world each year. Virtual Boy
The Virtual Boy is a 32-bit tabletop portable video game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. Released in 1995, it was marketed as the first console capable of displaying stereoscopic "3D" graphics. The player uses the console like a head-mounted display, placing the head against the eyepiece to see a red monochrome display. The games use a parallax effect to create the illusion of depth. Sales failed to meet targets, and Nintendo ceased distribution and game development in 1996, having released only 22 games for the system. Development of the Virtual Boy lasted four years and began under the project name VR32. ''Asteroids'' is a space-themed multidirectional shooter arcade game designed by Lyle Rains and Ed Logg released in November 1979 by Atari, Inc. ''Turtles'' is a video game developed by Konami and published in arcades in 1981 by Stern and Sega. The Sega version was published as ''Turpin'' (ターピン). ''Turtles'' is a maze game where the player is a turtle trying to bring baby turtles (called "kidturtles") to their homes while avoiding beetles.
