The English women's cricket team toured Australia in early 2011, where they were defending the Women's Ashes. Australia won 2 one-day internationals to England's 1, while England won 4 Twenty20 matches to Australia's 1. The only Test match played was won by Australia, who thus regained the Women's Ashes. Alex Blackwell
Alexandra Joy Blackwell (born 31 August 1983) is a former professional cricketer who played for New South Wales and Australia as a specialist batter. In October 2017, she made her 250th international appearance for the Australian women's cricket team. In November 2019, she announced her retirement from cricket, after a career that spanned 18 years. Her identical twin sister Kate has also played for Australia. Blackwell made her senior debut for New South Wales in the 2001–02 Women's National Cricket League (WNCL). Playing in the middle-order she had little to do as the opposition bowlers struggled to penetrate the New South Wales batting line-up. Katherine Brunt
Katherine Helen Brunt (born 2 July 1985) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Yorkshire, Northern Diamonds, Trent Rockets and England. She plays as a right-arm fast bowler and right-handed lower-order batter. She has won two World Cups and one T20 World Cup with England, and has been named England women's Cricketer of the Year four times. In June 2022, Brunt announced her retirement from playing Test cricket. She played in 14 Test matches for England from 2004 to 2022. The Middlesex Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Middlesex. They play their home games at various grounds, most commonly at Mill Hill School, and are captained by Naomi Dattani. Beth Morgan (cricketer)
Beth Louisa Morgan (born 27 September 1981) is a former English cricketer who played as a right-handed batter and right-arm medium bowler. She appeared in seven Test matches, 72 One Day Internationals and 28 Twenty20 Internationals for England between 1999 and 2011. Laura Marsh
Laura Alexandra Marsh (born 5 December 1986) is an English former cricketer. Born in Pembury, Kent, she began playing cricket at 11 and started her career as a medium pace bowler but found greater success when she switched to off spin. She played county cricket for Kent Women, represents the Rubies and made her Test debut against India in 2006. She was part of the England team that retained the Ashes in Australia in 2008 and in England in 2009. She was also part of teams that won the Women's Cricket World Cup in 2009 and 2017. Heather Clare Knight (born 26 December 1990) is an English cricketer who is captain of the England women's cricket team. She is a right-handed batter and right arm off spin bowler. Knight played in her 100th Women's One Day International match for England in December 2019. Early life Knight was born on 26 December 1990 in Rochdale and was educated at Plymstock School, a state secondary school in Plymouth, Devon. Danielle Hazell (born 13 May 1988) is an English cricket coach and former player. She is currently the coach of English domestic team Northern Diamonds. As a player she was an off break bowler who batted right-handed.
