Claus Wiese
Claus Wiese (March 1, 1924 – September 7, 1987) was a Norwegian actor and American-based radio broadcaster. Wiese was born in Lillestrøm. He graduated from the Oslo Cathedral School in 1944 and worked as an actor with the Oslo New Theater from 1945 to 1951. Wiese debuted in the film ''Englandsfarere'' in 1946. He married an American, Joan Ann Trapp, on August 12, 1950. Wiese worked as a film editor at the TV station WNAC in Boston, Massachusetts from 1952 to 1954, was head of programming at WMTW in Poland Spring, Maine from 1954 to 1975 and business director at the same station from 1975 to 1982, and became the station manager at WMTV in Auburn, Maine in 1982. In 1961, he and his wife moved to Bethel, Maine, where they owned and operated the Norseman Inn for 25 years. Claus Wiese was the brother of the author and former administrative director at J.W. Elisabeth Bang
Elisabeth Bang (26 September 1922 – 28 September 2009) was a Norwegian actress. She was born in Skedsmo in Akershus, Norway. During World War II, she made her stage debut at Bærum Studiescene where she also met her future husband actor Pål Skjønberg (1919–2014). They married in 1946, and as such Bang became a daughter-in-law of actor Eugen Skjønberg (1889–1971) and stage director Henny Skjønberg (1886–1973) and sister-in-law of actor Espen Skjønberg. She was employed at Det Nye Teater from 1945 to 1946, Det Norske Teatret from 1946 to 1948, the Nationaltheatret from 1948 to 1950 and again at Det Norske Teatret from 1952. She also appeared in films. Bang made his film debut in ''Englandsfarere'' (1946) directed by Toralf Sandø (1899–1970). She played a social worker in ''Det brenner i natt!'' (1955). Per Skift (born ''Per Anker Christensen'', May 10, 1920 – January 10, 1994) was a Norwegian actor. Skift made his stage debut in 1944 at Chat Noir in Oslo. He was then engaged with the Oslo New Theater, Trøndelag Theater, and Rogaland Theater until he started performing for the National Traveling Theater in 1972. Skift is best known his performances in operettas and musicals such as ''Die Fledermaus'', '' Annie Get Your Gun'', and ''Carmen''. Pål Skjønberg
Pål Eugen Bucher Skjønberg (20 October 1919 – 3 February 2014) was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Stavanger to actors Eugen (1889–1971) and Henny Skjønberg (1886–1973). He was the older brother of actor Espen Skjønberg. They grew up in Bærum and Oslo. In 1946 he married actress Elisabeth Bang (1922–2009). He made his stage debut for Bærum Studiescene during World War II. Both his brother and future wife were involved here too. He was later employed at the theatre Det Norske Teatret from 1945 to his retirement in 1989, except for the years 1951 to 1952 when he worked at Den Nationale Scene. His film debut came in 1946 in the film ''Englandsfarere''. Another notable appearance was the film ''Ut av mørket'', which was entered into the 8th Berlin International Film Festival. Knut Wigert
Knut Kirsebom Wigert (3 October 1916 – 14 June 2006) was a Norwegian actor, known for his many Ibsen roles and the establishment of an Ibsen museum in Oslo. Personal life Knut Hansen was born in Skien as a son of Major Sigvald Hansen (1881–1954) and his wife Carmen Franciska Christina Kirsebom (1887–1951), and a younger brother of Sonja Wigert. He changed his last name to Wigert in 1935. Wigert was married to Eva Nordlie from 1942 to 1946. In January 1950 he married ship-owner Sofie Helene Huitfeldt, née Olsen. The marriage lasted until her death in September 1989. They resided in Bærum. He was a son-in-law of ship-owner Rudolf Olsen, and the family inherited large properties including the manor Dirhue at Tjøme. Oscar Egede-Nissen
Oscar Egede-Nissen (March 7, 1903 – November 1, 1976) was a Norwegian actor. He appeared in dozens of films from his debut in 1936 onward, his last being '' An-Magritt'' in 1969. Egede-Nissen was an unruly child, and he was sent to the alternative Odenwald School in Germany. He came home and started high school, but soon left again, this time on a long trip to South America. He went whaling and spent time in Buenos Aires. He ended up as an illegal immigrant to the United States, where he became a professional soldier and flew to the Philippines. There he had a falling out with a lieutenant, and he was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. With the help of connections in Norway, including Prime Minister Johan Ludwig Mowinckel, he was pardoned after 14 months. Lydia Opøien
Lydia Marie Opøien (November 4, 1894 – November 24, 1961) was a Norwegian actress. Among other venues, Opøien was engaged with the Oslo New Theater, the Norwegian Theater in Oslo, and the Trøndelag Theater. She also worked with the NRK Radio Theater. Jørn Ording (21 February 1916 – 11 March 2001) was a Norwegian actor, theatre instructor and screenwriter. He was born in Kristiania as a son of Jørgen Fredrik Ording (1880–1930). He was also a nephew of Fredrik and Johannes Ording, a first cousin of Arne Ording, a second cousin of Aake Anker Ording and a first cousin once removed of Hans Ording. He made his stage debut in 1938 at Den Nationale Scene, and was hired at the National Theatre in 1939. From 1944 to 1945, during the German occupation of Norway, he was in exile in Sweden, working at Fri Norsk Scene. Ingeborg Cook
Ingeborg Cook (born Alma Ingeborg Cook, May 13, 1915 – December 27, 2003) was a Norwegian actress and singer. Cook was born in Galveston, Texas, the daughter of Axel Brynjulf Christensen Cook (1886–1927) and Ingeborg Alma Cook (née Isaksen, 1888–1982). She left the United States for Norway when she was one year old. She married Victor Borg. Cook debuted as an actress in the film ''Tørres Snørtevold'' in 1940. She played a long series of roles both in film and on television. Her last role as an actress was in the sitcom ''Karl & Co'' in 1999 at the age of 84. Sigurd Magnussøn
Sigurd Konrad Magnussøn (December 14, 1889 – November 12, 1961) was a Norwegian theater director and actor. On August 14, 1912 he married the actress Abigael Heber. Magnussøn was a student at the Fahlstrøm Theater from 1906 to 1907. From 1908 to 1911 and from 1912 to 1920 he was an actor at the National Theater in Oslo. Then he was at the National Theater in Bergen from 1921 to 1922.
