Endless Shame
Endless Shame is an electronic band from the South of Sweden. The music is inspired by various types of electronic music and alternative rock and pop. Endless Shame started in the 90s but it wasn't until 2007 that they released their debut album ''Price of Devotion'' on the Swedish record label ”K-Town Records”. The album got positive reviews and was nominated for ”best album of the year” in the category ”Synth” at ”Manifestgalan” in Sweden. In November 2009 the band released their second album ''Unspoken Words'' on the American record label A Different Drum. The album got a great deal of attention amongst fans of synth pop, EBM and electro. The single ”Pure” went on to become a dance hit at clubs playing electronic music. In 2010, Endless Shame decided to work together with EK Product in Italy for the release of their third album ''Generation Blind''. Kristianstad
Kristianstad (, ; older spelling from Danish ''Christianstad'') is a city and the seat of Kristianstad Municipality, Scania County, Sweden with 40,145 inhabitants in 2016. During the last 15 years, it has gone from a garrison town to a developed commercial city, today attracting visitors in the summertime mainly from Germany, Denmark and The Netherlands. History The city was founded in 1614 by King Christian IV of Denmark (the city's name literally means 'Town of Christian') as a planned city after the burning of the nearby town of Vä and moving the city rights of the neighbouring town of Sölvesborg and Åhus to the new town. New Wave Music
New wave is a loosely defined music genre that encompasses pop-oriented styles from the late 1970s and the 1980s. Synthpop
Synth-pop (short for synthesizer pop; also called techno-pop; ) is a subgenre of new wave music that first became prominent in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument. A Different Drum was an independent record label and online store based in Smithfield, Utah, founded in 1996. The label specialized in synthpop and related genres. A Different Drum has released hundreds of albums, singles, and compilations and was the biggest synthpop label in the U.S. The label is credited with helping to keep the synthpop genre progressing during the grunge rock mid-1990s and into the early 2000s, particularly supporting American Synthpop Groups ( Cosmicity, The Echoing Green, B! Machine and others) in their early years. The label also supported older synthpop bands which previously had Billboard chart hits during the 1980s, such as Alphaville (band), and Real Life (band), putting out releases for both bands during this time.
