Encounter With Life
''Encounter with Life'' (Swedish: ''Möte med livet'') is a 1952 Swedish drama film directed by Gösta Werner and starring Doris Svedlund, Per Oscarsson and Arnold Sjöstrand.Qvist & Von Bagh p.121 It was shot at the Råsunda Studios in Stockholm and location shooting in Nyköping. The film's sets were designed by the art director Nils Svenwall. Synopsis Gun and Robert are in love with each other, but while he is away doing military service they both have relationships with others. She falls pregnant and then miscarries, while he contracts syphilis. In spite of this they work to forge a successful marriage when he returns. Gösta Werner
Gösta Werner (May 15, 1908 – July 20, 2009) was a Swedish film director. He was married to Kaj Björkdahl. He primarily made his mark on European cinema during the 1940s. During the 1970s, Werner was first associate professor at Stockholm University, and then later Professor of Cinematography. He was born in Östra Wemmenhög, Skåne, Sweden. Werner turned 101 years old on May 15, 2009. Werner died in Stockholm on July 20, 2009. He was, at the time of his death, the world's oldest film director. He was seven months older than his successor, film director Manoel de Oliveira of Portugal. Miscarriage
Miscarriage, also known in medical terms as a spontaneous abortion and pregnancy loss, is the death of an embryo or fetus before it is able to survive independently. Yvonne Lombard (born 28 May 1929) is a Swedish actress. Born in Stockholm, Lombard studied at the Royal Dramatic Theatre ("Dramaten") there, where she trained between 1948 and 1951 with the likes of Max von Sydow and Ingrid Thulin.
