Encarna Sant-Celoni i Verger (Tavernes de la Valldigna, La Safor, 1959) is a Spanish narrative writer, poet and translator. In 1983, she won thCiutat de Culleraprize, with ''Dotze contes i una nota necrològica'', and in 1985 she obtained the prestigious Premi Joanot Martorell de Gandia, with her novel ''Siamangorina''. She is a member of AELC and has translated, among other works, ''Els mil i un quarts d'hora'', by Thomas-Simon Gueullette (Editorial Moll, 2008), and has co-translated from Danish the anthology ''Digte-POEMES'', by Tove Ditlevsen (Alfons el Magnànim, 1995), together with Anne Marie Dinesen. And from Arabic she has translated all the cassidas in existence today of the poets of Al Andalus in the work ''Perles de la nit. Tavernes De La Valldigna
Tavernes de la Valldigna (, es, Tavernes de la Valldigna) is a municipality in the Valencian Community, Spain, located in the district of Safor, 54 km far away from Valencia. It is the biggest town in La Valldigna, a horseshoe shape valley bordered by mountains (Iberian and Betic mountains) on the west and the Mediterranean Sea to the east. Tavernes gained a City title in December 1916, by King Alfonso XIII. The mayor is Jordi Juan Huguet (2011-). Thomas-Simon Gueullette (2 June 1683 – 2 December 1766) was a French lawyer, playwright, scholar and man of letters, who also wrote fairy tales and works on the theatre itself. Tove Irma Margit Ditlevsen (14 December 1917 – 7 March 1976) was a Danish poet and author. With published works in a variety of genres, she was one of Denmark's best-known authors by the time of her death. Life Tove Ditlevsen was born in Copenhagen and grew up in the working-class neighbourhood of Vesterbro. Her childhood experiences were the focal points of her work. Edith Mary Pargeter (28 September 1913 – 14 October 1995), also known by her ''nom de plume'' Ellis Peters, was an English author of works in many categories, especially history and historical fiction, and was also honoured for her translations of Czech classics. Brother Cadfael is the main fictional character in a series of historical murder mysteries written between 1977 and 1994 by the linguist-scholar Edith Pargeter under the name "Ellis Peters". The character of Cadfael himself is a Welsh Benedictine monk living at the Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, in Shrewsbury, western England, in the first half of the 12th century.
