Ena Thomas
Ena Thomas (5 June 1935 – 5 July 2020) was a Welsh television chef. She came from Carmarthenshire, and was known as the chef on the 1990s Welsh-language television programme ''Heno () is a Welsh television magazine and chat show programme. Broadcast live on S4C weeknights at 7:00 pm, it features topical stories and studio guests. Various reporters also assist with subject-specific presenting, both in the studio and ...'' (''Tonight''). She published a number of Welsh-language cookery books, including ''Coginio Cartref Ena'' (''Ena's Home Cooking'') (1999) and ''Blas ar Fywyd'' (''Taste of Life'') (2012). Thomas died on 5 July 2020, aged 85. Felindre
Felindre is a rural village in southern Wales. Felindre is located in the far north of Swansea, in the electoral ward of Mawr. The nearby Lower Lliw Reservoirs are a popular venue for walking and fishing. The water mill in the village was working until the late 1960s, there was also an abattoir and a post office in the village. It has three shops. There is also a public house in the village, the Shepherds Inn. The primary school in the village was Welsh speaking and closed in 2019. Felindre works site In 1956, the Steel Company of Wales opened a tinplate works at Felindre to complement new facilities at Port Talbot and Trostre. In 1967, the Steel Company of Wales was nationalised, becoming part of British Steel Corporation, which inherited the additional tinplate works at Ebbw Vale Steelworks. Carmarthen
Carmarthen (, RP: ; cy, Caerfyrddin , "Merlin's fort" or "Sea-town fort") is the county town of Carmarthenshire and a community in Wales, lying on the River Towy. north of its estuary in Carmarthen Bay. The population was 14,185 in 2011, down from 15,854 in 2001, but gauged at 16,285 in 2019. It has a claim to be the oldest town in Wales – ''Old Carmarthen'' and ''New Carmarthen'' became one borough in 1546. Background was first broadcast on S4C on Monday 17 September 1990, made by production company Agenda (which became Tinopolis) in Swansea.
