Emmette Redford
Emmette Redford (September 23, 1904 – January 30, 1998) was an American political scientist. He attended Midland College, Midland, Texas and Southwest Texas State Teachers College (now Texas State University), finally graduating from The University of Texas at Austin. He received a Ph.D. in government from Harvard in 1933. He was born in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in Johnson City, Texas at the same time as Lyndon B. Johnson, and Redford and Johnson knew each other when they were children. During World War II, he worked for four years in the Office of Price Administration. Midland College
Midland College (MC) is a public community college in Midland, Texas. It was established as an independent junior college in 1972 and held its first classes on campus in 1975. Since that time, the campus has expanded to a main campus on in Midland. It also has numerous locations in other parts of Midland and in Fort Stockton, the Pecos County seat. History Midland College began in September 1969 as the Midland campus of the Permian Junior College system. It was recreated in 1972 with the formation of the Midland College District. Midland, Texas
Midland is a city in and the county seat of Midland County, Texas, United States. A small part of Midland is in Martin County. At the 2020 census, Midland's population was 132,524. It is the principal city of the Midland, Texas metropolitan statistical area, which includes all of Midland County, the population of which grew 4.6% between July 1, 2011, and July 1, 2012, to 151,662, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The metropolitan area is part of the larger Midland–Odessa combined statistical area, which had a population of 340,391 in the 2020 census. People in Midland are called Midlanders.
