Emma Guntz
Emma Guntz (née Emma Linnebach) (born 30 August 1937 in Bruchsal) is a German-French poet, journalist and editor living and working in Strasbourg, France. Life After passing her Abitur exam in her home town of Bruchsal, Emma Guntz studied English, Latin and history at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg. Soon after graduation she married Antoine Guntz, a Strasbourg physician; they have three children. In the 1970s she worked as a radio journalist, communicating German culture and tradition to Alsatians. From 1984 to 1996 she hosted a weekly broadcast on poetry at Radio France 3 Alsace, in which she presented contemporary poetry in French, German and the Alsatian dialect. The first collection of her own poetry, ''In Klarschrift'' (''In Plain Writing''), was published in 1996, followed by others, the last one (in 2009) being ''Späte Widmung'' (''Late Dedication''). Adolf Muschg
Adolf Muschg (born 13 May 1934) is a Swiss writer and professor of literature. Muschg was a member of the Gruppe Olten. Biography Adolf Muschg was born in Zollikon, canton of Zürich, Switzerland. He studied German studies, English studies and philosophy at the universities of Zürich and Cambridge and earned his doctoral degree with a work about Ernst Barlach. Between 1959 and 1962, he worked as a teacher in Zürich. Different engagements as a teacher followed in (Göttingen), Japan and the US. From 1970 to 1999 Muschg was professor of German language and literature at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule, Zürich. He wrote the foreword to Fritz Zorn’s controversial memoirs ''Mars (Fritz Zorn), Mars''. The book pointed out the supposedly "cancer-causing" lifestyle of Zurich's wealthy gold coast and provoked a scandal in Switzerland; its author died of cancer before its release. Johann-Peter-Hebel-Preis
The Johann-Peter-Hebel-Preis was endowed in 1936 in honour of the writer and dialectal poet Johann Peter Hebel. The prize is since 1974 awarded every two years (before every year) to writers, translators, essayists, media representatives or scientists from the German district Baden-Württemberg, who write in the Alemannic dialect or are connected with Hebel. The ceremony of the €10,000 prize takes place in Hausen im Wiesental, which is also home to the "Hebelfest" every 10 May. The municipality of Hausen also award every year the Johann-Peter-Hebel-Gedenkplakette to personalities from the Ober Rhein region. Martin Walser
Martin Walser (; born 24 March 1927) is a German writer. Life Walser was born in Wasserburg am Bodensee, on Lake Constance. His parents were coal merchants, and they also kept an inn next to the train station in Wasserburg. He described the environment in which he grew up in his novel ''Ein springender Brunnen'' (English: A Gushing Fountain). From 1938 to 1943 he was a pupil at the secondary school in Lindau and served in an anti-aircraft unit. According to documents released in June 2007, at the age of 17 he became a member of the Nazi Party on 20 April 1944, though Walser denied that he knowingly entered the party, a claim disputed by historian Juliane Wetzel. By the end of the Second World War, he was a soldier in the Wehrmacht. After the war he returned to his studies and completed his ''Abitur'' in 1946.
