Emilie Enger Mehl
Emilie Enger Mehl (born 8 August 1993) is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. She has served as minister of justice since 2021 and Member of parliament for Hedmark since 2017. Personal life and education Mehl was born in Lørenskog on 8 August 1993, a daughter of Eivind Mehl and Ellen Enger Müller. She holds a Master of laws (LL.M.) from the University of Oslo Faculty of Law. Career Parliament Mehl was elected representative to the Storting for the period 2017–2021 for the Centre Party. She was member of the Standing Committee on Justice from 2017 to 2020, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) from 2017 to 2021. Marie Benedicte Bjørnland
Marie Benedicte Bjørnland (born 30 April 1965) is a Norwegian lawyer. She is the current Director of Police since 2019, and was the head of the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) from 2012 to 2019. She was born in Kristiansand and grew up in Lier and Sandefjord. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Beate Gangås (born 24 April 1963) is a Norwegian police officer and civil servant. In 2019, she was appointed Oslo Chief of Police. She was born in Asker. In her younger days she played football for Asker. She graduated from the University of Oslo with the cand.jur. degree in 1991. She worked for the Norwegian Directorate for Health from 1991 to 1992, served as a police prosecutor in Vest-Finnmark in 1992 before being hired in the Oslo police. Stovner
Stovner is a borough located to the far north east of the city of Oslo, Norway. Historically, Stovner was the name of a farm in the municipal borough " Østre Aker". Østre Aker merged with Oslo in 1948, both instigated and followed by a massive expansion of the city settlement. The Norwegian Police Service ( no, Politi- og lensmannsetaten) is the Norwegian national civilian police agency. Kongsberg Attack
On 13 October 2021, a man attacked eight people with various weapons – including a bow and arrow – at locations in Kongsberg, Buskerud, Norway, a town about southwest of the capital city Oslo. Five people were killed, and three others were injured. The accused, identified as Espen Andersen Bråthen, a 37-year-old Danish citizen born in Norway and with a history of mental illness, was taken into custody on the same day and charged with murder. Although he pleaded guilty, in June 2022, a court determined his mental illness meant he could not be held criminally responsible for his actions, and he was sentenced to psychiatric confinement.
