Emerald City Football Club
Emerald City Football Club (ECFC) is a Seattle-based select soccer club. ECFC is a premier year-round soccer club with professional coaching. It is one of Seattle's oldest select soccer clubs, having formed in 1979. ECFC is a non-profit, 501c3 organization largely run by volunteers. ECFC teams compete with other premier clubs in Washington State in the Puget Sound Premier League (PSPL). ECFC players come from all different neighborhoods in the Seattle and Puget Sound region, rather than from one specific geographical area. ECFC is a member of US Club Soccer. Mutanda Kwesele
Mutanda Kwesele (born March 14, 1986 in Mufulira) is a Zambian footballer. Career Youth and college Kwesele moved from his native Zambia to the United States with his family as a child, settling in Seattle, Washington. He attended Seattle Preparatory School, where he was a two-time All-Metro and All-District selection, and began his college soccer at Santa Clara University. He transferred to Seattle University prior to his sophomore season in 2006, and played three seasons with the Redhawks, helping the team reach the NCAA tournament in back-to-back seasons in 2006 and 2007. He played in 42 games during his college career, recording two goals and five assists. Brian Schmetzer
Brian Schmetzer (born August 18, 1962) is an American soccer coach and retired player. He is the head coach of the Seattle Sounders FC, who play in Major League Soccer (MLS), having been assistant coach for the team until Sigi Schmid's departure in 2016. Prior to that, he coached the Seattle Sounders in the USL First Division for seven seasons, winning two championships, and played in the North American Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League and Western Soccer League for various Seattle teams. Early life Schmetzer was born and grew up in Seattle where he attended Nathan Hale High School. West Ham United Football Club is an English professional football club that plays its home matches in Stratford, East London. Bobby Howe (footballer, Born 1945)
Robert John Howe (born 22 December 1945) is an English former professional footballer who played as a left-back or midfielder. Playing career Howe played for West Ham United youth system before progressing through their ranks and appearing in the first team at the age of 21 in 1966. He played at Upton Park until 1971 when he switched to A.F.C. Bournemouth. He played there until his retirement from league football in 1973. Howe came out of retirement in 1977 to become the player-coach of the Seattle Sounders in the NASL where he played until 1983. John Hamel
John Hamel (born January 31, 1967) is a retired American soccer midfielder who played three seasons in the Western Soccer Alliance, one in the American Professional Soccer League, one in the Continental Indoor Soccer League and at least one in the Major Indoor Soccer League. Playing Hamel grew up in Seattle where he attended Blanchet High School. He then attended the University of Washington where he played on the men's soccer team from 1985 to 1988. In 1987, he moved to the F.C. Seattle of the Western Soccer Alliance. That year he was second team All-WSA. He played for Seattle through the 1990 season. That year, the team's last in existence, was spent in the American Professional Soccer League. On July 9, 1989, the Tacoma Stars of the Major Indoor Soccer League selected Hamel in the fourth round of the MISL draft. Frank Barton (English Footballer)
Frank Barton (born 22 October 1947) is an English retired footballer who played as a midfielder during the 1960s and 1970s. Barton also gained international honours with England Youth team playing for his country in 5 international games in which he scored the first goal of a 3–0 victory over Spain at Swindon in 1966. He also obtained his English Football Association Full Coaching Certification in 1968 at the Lilleshall Training Centre. Ely Allen (born June 12, 1986 in Anchorage, Alaska) is an American soccer player. Career Youth Allen grew up in Kent, Washington, attended Kentridge High School. He played youth soccer for Emerald City Football Club in Seattle, Washington. College Allen played college soccer at the University of Washington from 2004 to 2007. Professional Allen was the 21st overall pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft, selected by the Los Angeles Galaxy.
