Elo Viiding
Elo Viiding (pen name, Elo Vee; born 20 March 1974) is an Estonian poet and prose writer. Family Viiding is the third poet in her family. Her father, Juhan Viiding was a famous and influential poet in the 1970s. He was also an actor. Her paternal grandfather, Paul Viiding, was a poet, author and literary critic and member of Arbujad in the 1930s, and her paternal grandmother was translator Linda Viiding. Her maternal grandfather, Kaljo Kiisk, was an actor, film director and politician. Viiding's mother Riina was a music teacher. Education Viiding, inspired by her father's career as an actor and her mother's love for music, graduated from school in 1999 as an actress. She studied violin. Literary career Viiding debuted under a pseudonym ("Elo Vee") in 1991. She published four anthologies under her pseudonym. Juhan Viiding
Juhan Viiding (1 June 1948 – 21 February 1995), also known under the pseudonym of Jüri Üdi was an Estonian poet and actor. Personal life Juhan Viiding was born on 1 June 1948 in Tallinn to Paul Viiding, a well-known poet in Estonia who had belonged to the influential '' Arbujad'' (''Soothsayers'') – a collective group of eight young influential poets who rose to prominence before the outbreak of World War II – and Linda Viiding (''née'' Laarmann), a noted translator. Juhan was the youngest of four children and the only boy—his older sisters were Reet, Anni and radio journalist Mari Tarand. He was an intellectually precocious and restless youngster. Eeva Park
Eeva Park (born September 9, 1950 in Tallinn) is an Estonian writer. Life Park was born Eeva Hint in 1950. She is the daughter of writers Aadu Hint and Minni Nurme. After high school she worked as a silk and porcelain painter, and as an archival assistant. She began her career in 1983 as a poet, but soon turned to prose. Her 1993 novel ''Tolm ja Tuul'' describes in a fairly obvious way the breakup of his parents' marriage. She is known for her novels' dark undertones, but she has also written plays and short stories, as well as continuing to write poetry. Park has been a member of the Estonian Writers' Union since 1993. In 1994 she received the Friedebert Tuglas Literature Prize. She currently lives in Saku Parish. Aapo Ilves ( vro, Ilvese Aapo; born 20 October 1970, in Räpina) is an Estonian poet, writer, playwright, artist and musician. He writes in Estonian, Võro and Seto languages. Vahur Afanasjev (born Vahur Laanoja; 24 August 1979 – 10 May 2021) was an Estonian novelist, poet, musician and film director best known for his novel ''Serafima and Bogdan'' a story following the lives in a village of Russian Orthodox Old Believers on the shore of the lake Peipus from the end of the World War II to the nineties. The novel won the 2017 Estonian Writers' Union's Novel Competition. Biography Afanasjev graduated from the University of Tartu in 2002, majoring in economic policy. He was a member of a literary group called Tartu Young Authors' Association since 1998, and a member of the Estonian Writers' Union since 2006. He worked as a journalist, media analyst, copywriter, creative director, and PR officer. From 2005 to 2010, Afanasjev lived in Brussels, Belgium.
