West Ella is a small village in the civil parish of Kirk Ella west of Kirk Ella settlement, within the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, approximately west of the city of Kingston upon Hull. Kirk Ella is a village and civil parish on the western outskirts of Kingston upon Hull, approximately west of the city centre, situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The parish includes West Ella. Kirk Ella has been a village since at least the 11th century: it remained a relatively unimportant hamlet until the 18th and 19th centuries, when it became a location of choice for merchants of Hull wishing to live outside the city. Several large houses were built during this period, without any substantial increase in village population. After the 1920s, the village grew substantially, with large amounts of high quality housing surrounding the traditional village centre. It was released as a single from her album '' Babacar'', on 24 August 1987, and became a hit across Europe, the Americas (especially in Quebec and the Southern Cone) and Asia (especially in Japan). It was covered live by French singer Alizée at a TV show in 2002 and by Belgian singer Kate Ryan in a dance version in 2008. Ulipristal acetate, sold under the brand name Ella among others, is a medication used for emergency contraception (birth control) and uterine fibroids. As emergency contraception it should be used within 120 hours of vaginally penetrating intercourse. For fibroids it may be taken for up to six months. It is taken by mouth. Common side effects include headache, nausea, feeling tired, and abdominal pain. It should not be used in women who are already pregnant. It is in the selective progesterone receptor modulator (SPRM) class of medications. It works by preventing the effects of progesterone, therefore preventing ovulation but not affecting fertilization or implantation.
