Elim Christian Services, is a Christianity, Christian Religious ministry (Christian), ministry, based in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, that serves individuals with disabilities. Elim's east campus and west campus are located in Crestwood, Illinois, Crestwood, Illinois, and its South campus is located in Orland Park, Illinois, Orland Park, Illinois. Elim's Christ-centered programs include a special education program, a vocational and day program for adults with disabilities, and a learning program that trains Elim staff and partners with other educational organizations or ministries serving individuals with disabilities nationally and internationally. In Christianity, ministry is an activity carried out by Christians to express or spread their faith, the prototype being the Great Commission. The ''Encyclopedia of Christianity'' defines it as "carrying forth Christ's mission in the world", indicating that it is "conferred on each Christian in baptism." It is performed by most Christians. This is distinguished from the " office of minister", to which specific individuals who feel a certain vocation.
