Electoral District Of Wollondilly
Wollondilly is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is represented by Nathaniel Smith of the Liberal Party. History Wollondilly was first established in 1904, partly replacing Bowral. In 1920, with the introduction of proportional representation, it absorbed Wollongong and Allowrie and elected three members simultaneously. In 1927, it was split into the single-member electorates of Wollondilly, Wollongong and Illawarra. It was abolished in 1981, but was recreated for the 2007 election, partly replacing Southern Highlands. Wollondilly is one of four electorates in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly to have been held by two Premiers of New South Wales while in office. Nathaniel Smith (Australian Politician)
Nathaniel Gerard Smith (born 1980) is an Australian politician. He has been a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly since 2019, representing Wollondilly for the Liberal Party where he lives with his wife and sends his children to school. Smith, the son of former NSW Attorney General Greg Smith, trained as a plumber and has completed a master's degree in Organisational Communications. Since joining Parliament, he has overseen the Bowral and District Hospital Redevelopment and the complete upgrade of Picton High School. He has fought for households affected by mining subsidence and has advocated for the rejuvenation of the Picton to Colo Vale loop line, agri-tourism and the protection of local character. He is passionate about improving local roads and supporting young apprentices and families. Bargo is a town in the Macarthur Region, New South Wales, Australia, in the Wollondilly Shire. It is approximately 100 km south west of Sydney. It is situated between the township of Tahmoor (north) and the village of Yanderra (south), and accessible via the Hume Highway that links Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. Tahmoor is a small town in the Macarthur Region of New South Wales, Australia, in Wollondilly Shire. History Originally named Myrtle Creek, it was a farming area on the Great Southern Road, later named the Hume Highway. When the new Main Southern railway line opened in 1919, it included a railway station named Tahmoor. This name was contested by a local businessman, who wished to establish a town called Bronzewing Park, but his claim was rejected. Picton is a small town in the Macarthur Region of New South Wales, Australia, in the Wollondilly Shire, in south-western Sydney. The town is located approximately 90 kilometres south-west of Sydney, close to Camden and Campbelltown. It is also the administrative centre of Wollondilly Shire. History Picton was first explored by Europeans in 1798 and remained beyond the limits of legal settlement until 1821. Election Funding Authority Of New South Wales
The Election Funding Authority of New South Wales was the agency of the Government of New South Wales charged with administering the Elections Funding Act 1981. The Authority formerly distributed public funding for the purposes of campaigning by candidates in state elections and handles claims for payments from the state's Political Education Fund. On 1 December 2014 it was abolished and its functions made the responsibility of the NSW Electoral Commission. Candidates for public office in New South Wales previously had obligations under the Election Funding, Expenditure and Disclosures Act 1981 to declare political donations, as well as expenditure on campaigning to the Authority.
