Eldon Howard was a British screenwriter. She was the mother-in-law of Edward J. Danziger and wrote a number of the screenplays for films by his company Danziger Productions. Edward is an English given name. It is derived from the Anglo-Saxon name ''Ēadweard'', composed of the elements '' ēad'' "wealth, fortune; prosperous" and '' weard'' "guardian, protector”. Danziger Productions
Edward J. Danziger (1909–1999) and Harry Lee Danziger (1913–2005) were American-born brothers who produced many British films and TV shows in the 1950s and 1960s. According to one profile "throughout the 1950s and early 1960s, their second features and TV series seemed to be on screens everywhere, their pervasive presence forming a part of virtually every British filmgoer's and television viewer's experience during those years." Career Edward and Harry Danziger were native New Yorkers. Edward studied law and had worked on the Nuremberg Trials while brother Harry had a musical background. They operated a sound studio in New York that specialised in the dubbing of foreign films for US release. Their first feature film as producers was ''Jigsaw'' (1949). ''A Woman of Mystery'' is a 1958 British crime film directed by Ernest Morris and starring Dermot Walsh, Hazel Court, and Ferdy Mayne. The film features an early performance from Michael Caine in an uncredited role. Plot Ray Savage, reporter for a sensational magazine in London is assigned over his objections to investigate a pretty blonde hat-check attendant's suicide. Inquiring at Jane Hale's place of work he learns that someone from her past had recognized her, and she was afraid. Three Crooked Men
''Three Crooked Men'' is a 1958 British crime film directed by Ernest Morris and starring Gordon Jackson. Plot Three crooks break into a store hoping to gain access to the bank next door. The store keeper has remained in the rear of the store after a drunken fight with his wife, the men take him hostage. A passerby, a bank employee, hears him shout knocks on the front door, tries to help, but he too is captured. The two kidnapped men are dumped in the country eventually getting free and are recognized/arrested as the "wanted men" in news reports. Under questioning the police don't want to believe them as the missing shop owner and missing bank employee seem to have committed the crime. While awaiting court the two men return to the store come across a photo which had been dropped during the break-in and decide their best chance is to track down the thieves themselves. ''Moment of Indiscretion'' is a low budget 1958 British crime film. Plot Janet Miller is accused of the murder of a stabbed woman. Janet's handkerchief and spare house key have been discovered at the crime scene, and she is cagey about her whereabouts on the night in question. It turns out she was a witness to the murder, but has her own reasons for keeping quiet. Her lawyer husband John leaps to her defence and attempts to track down the real killer. (Two discrepancies occur leading to the identification of the real culprit: firstly, the witness, played by Lana Morris, positively identifies him, and tells the police she'll never forget his face; yet, whilst witnessing the murder, she only ever sees his back. Brian Clemens
Brian Horace Clemens (30 July 1931 – 10 January 2015) was an English screenwriter and television producer, possibly best known for his work on '' The Avengers'' and '' The Professionals''. Clemens claimed to be related to Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens), a fact reflected in the naming of his two sons, Samuel Joshua Twain Clemens and George Langhorne Clemens. Early life Clemens was born in Croydon, Surrey, to Suzanna (née O'Grady) and Albert, an engineer, who also worked in music halls. He left school aged 14. Following national service in the British Army at Aldershot, where he was a weapons training instructor in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, Clemens wanted to be a journalist but decided he did not have any qualifications.
