Einar Ólafsson (skier)
Einar Ólafsson (born 1 May 1962) is a retired Icelandic cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skier. He competed at the 1984 Winter Olympics, 1984 and 1988 Winter Olympics in 15–50 km events and placed 44–65. He was the flag bearer for Iceland at the 1988 games at Calgary. He won multiple national championships during his career. Ísafjörður (pronounced , meaning ''ice fjord'', literally ''fjord of ices'') is a town in the northwest of Iceland. Competitive cross-country skiing encompasses a variety of race formats and course lengths. Rules of cross-country skiing are sanctioned by the International Ski Federation and by various national organizations. The 1984 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XIV Olympic Winter Games (Serbo-Croatian and Slovene: ''XIV.
