Egyptian Liberation Party
The Egyptian Liberation Party is a Sufi political party in Egypt. The party was founded by Sheikh Aboul Azayem. most of the members are part of the Al Azmeya Sufi order. The party is backed by the ‘Azmeyya Tareeka Sufi order. The party calls itself social democratic. Egyptian Front
The Egyptian Front ( ar-at, الجبهة المصرية, al-Gabha al-Masreya) is an alliance of political parties contesting the 2015 Egyptian parliamentary election in a joint list with the Independent Current Coalition, called Egypt. The alliance was established on 17 August 2014. Former presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabahi has criticized the alliance by stating that it represents "Mubarak-era politics". The Modern Egypt Party withdrew from the coalition. The Tagammu Party is not part of the coalition. The Egyptian Patriotic Movement and the My Homeland Egypt Party left the alliance and joined the For the Love of Egypt coalition following a failed attempt to merge the For the Love of Egypt coalition and the Egyptian Front. The House of Representatives ( ar, مجلس النواب, Maglis El Nowwab) is the lower house of Egypt's bicameral parliament. Formation of the House The 2014 constitution that was passed in the 2014 constitutional referendum has put into place the following rules: the House that is elected following the ratification of the constitution must have at least 450 members. In addition, prospective members must be Egyptian, must be at least 25 years old and must hold an education certificate. Also, the president can appoint, at the most, five percent of the members in the chamber. The House sits for a five-year term but can be dissolved earlier by the president. By its constitution, Egypt has a multi-party system. However, in practice the National Democratic Party was the long-time ruling party and dominated the Egyptian political arena up until the Egyptian Revolution of 2011, which ousted NDP president Hosni Mubarak. Under Mubarak, opposition parties were allowed, but were widely considered to have no real chance of gaining power. As of 8 June 2014, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is the president. On 28 March 2011, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces introduced the Political Party Law, which eases restrictions on the legal establishment of new political parties in Egypt.
