Eggo
Eggo is a brand of frozen waffles owned by the Kellogg Company, and sold in North America. Several varieties are available, including homestyle, miniature, cherry, blueberry, strawberry, vanilla bliss, brown sugar cinnamon, apple cinnamon, buttermilk, chocolate chip, and Thick & Fluffy. Other than waffles, Eggo also produces a selection of pancakes, French toast, and egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, of which varieties include ham or sausage. Eggo Cereal
Eggo Cereal is a breakfast cereal manufactured by Kellogg's. History In 2006, Kellogg's officially released Eggo Cereal. It came in two flavors: Maple Syrup and Cinnamon Toast. In commercials, they had used a character by the name of "The Eggo Man" to promote the cereal. The cereal was discontinued in 2012. In August 2019, the official Twitter page for Eggo posted a message on National Waffle Day saying that if their post got 10,000 retweets, they would officially bring the product back. By 6 September, the goal was reached, and in November Kellogg's brought back the Eggo cereal on the shelves of Walmart, with other local stores following in December. The new version came out with three flavors: Homestyle, Blueberry, and Chocolate. As of 2021, the Blueberry flavor has been discontinued. Frank Dorsa
Frank Joseph Dorsa (August 11, 1907 – January 17, 1996) was an American inventor and pioneer who streamlined food preparation. He was best known for inventing the Eggo frozen waffle. Dorsa was an instinctive engineer, machinist, and inventor. Dorsa was born and raised in San Jose, California. His formal education ended with high school, but he continued to educate himself his entire life. His first job after graduation was as a machinist at a small company, later bought by FMC Corporation—another San Jose-based success story. In the early 1930s, Frank Dorsa and his younger brothers, Sam, and Anthony (Antonio) started experimenting in their mother's kitchen and came up with a dry waffle mix that required only the addition of milk.
