Effretikon Railway Station
Effretikon is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zürich and municipality of Illnau-Effretikon. The station, which takes its name from the village of Effretikon, is located on the Zürich to Winterthur main line at the junction point with the Effretikon to Hinwil line. Service Effretikon is an important junction in the Zürich S-Bahn network. It is an intermediate stop on services S3, S7, S8 and S24. For most of the day it is also the outer terminus of S-Bahn service S19, although in peak periods some trains continue to . On weekends, there are three nighttime S-Bahn services (SN1, SN6, SN8) offered by ZVV. Effretikon
Illnau-Effretikon is a municipality in the district of Pfäffikon in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. It includes the villages of Illnau, Effretikon, Ottikon and Bisikon. On 1 January 2016 Kyburg and Illnau-Effretikon merged to form the municipality of Illnau-Effretikon. History Illnau-Effretikon is first mentioned in 745 as ''Illenavvia'' and ''Erpfratinchova''. At first the name of the municipality was Illnau as that town used to be the political and economic center of the municipality. However, when the railway connection was built from Zurich to Winterthur in 1855, only the much smaller Effretikon was in a position to receive a railway station. Subsequently, the economic boom caused by the railway made Effretikon grow disproportionately until it had outgrown Illnau by the beginning of the 20th century. Koblenz railway station (german: Bahnhof Koblenz) is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Aargau and municipality of Koblenz. The station is located at junction of the Turgi to Waldshut railway line with the Winterthur to Koblenz line and the freight only Koblenz to Stein-Säckingen line. The ZVV (German abbreviation for Zürcher Verkehrsverbund, translated into English as Zürich Transport Network or Zürich Traffic Network) is a public transportation system. The S7 is a regional railway service of the Zürich S-Bahn on the ZVV (Zürich transportation network) and is one of the network's trunk services.
