Edwin Valero
Edwin Valero (3 December 1981 – 19 April 2010) was a Venezuelan professional boxer who competed from 2002 to 2010. He was an list of undefeated boxing world champions, undefeated former world champion in two weight class (boxing), weight classes, having held the World Boxing Association, WBA super featherweight title from 2006 to 2008 and the World Boxing Council, WBC lightweight title from 2009 to 2010. A southpaw stance, southpaw known for his highly aggressive fighting style and exceptional punching power, Valero remains the only champion in WBC history to win every fight in his career by knockout. In 2010, Valero committed suicide in jail after being arrested on suspicion of killing his wife. Super featherweight, also known as junior lightweight, is a boxing weight classes, weight division in professional boxing, contested between and . Tyrone Brunson (born January 29, 1985) is an American professional boxer, notable for holding the record of the most consecutive first-round knockouts for over 6 years (8 March 2008 – 6 July 2014). Amateur career Brunson hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and comes from a long line of middleweight boxers from the city. His amateur career extended over 90 fights, finishing with a record of 82–12. Professional career Brunson turned professional in 2005 with a KO victory over Kevin Carey in a fight which lasted just 25 seconds. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. A corner retirement or corner stoppage – abbreviated "RTD (Retired)" by BoxRec – are terms used in boxing to describe a fight that ends when, during any rest period between rounds, a boxer refuses to continue or their corner pulls them out, thereby forcing the referee to call an end to the fight. La Guaira
La Guaira () is the capital city of the Venezuelan state of the same name (formerly named Vargas) and the country's main port. It was founded in 1577 as an outlet for Caracas, to the southeast. A hook is a punch in boxing. It is performed by turning the core muscles and back, thereby swinging the arm, which is bent at an angle near or at 90 degrees, in a horizontal arc into the opponent. A hook is usually aimed at the jaw, but it can also be used for body shots, especially to the liver.
