Edward John Thye
Edward John Thye (April 26, 1896August 28, 1969) was an American politician. A member of the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party, he was the 26th governor of Minnesota from 1943 to 1947 and a United States Senate, United States Senator from 1947 to 1959. Early life and education Edward Thye was born on a farm near Frederick, South Dakota, Frederick, South Dakota. One of nine children, he was the son of Andrew John and Bertha (née Wangan) Thye. His father, a farmer, was born in Norway and immigrated to the United States in 1872. Ted Thye
Theodore Thye (August 26, 1890 – March 22, 1966) was an American wrestler, promotor and manager in the United States. Professional wrestling career During his career he worked with Emile Czaja and Ed "Strangler" Lewis. Thye was a multiple time winner of the World Light Heavyweight Championship. He was also the World Light Heavyweight Championship (Australian version) by defeating Clarence Eklund. He also won the Pacific Coast Middleweight Championship in 1920 and the Pacific Coast Light Heavyweight Championship in 1922. He defeated Billy Meeske in 1924. Thye wrestled under Stadiums Limited for a period of time.
