Edward Grey, 1st Viscount Grey of Fallodon, (25 April 1862 – 7 September 1933), better known as Sir Edward Grey, was a British Liberal statesman and the main force behind British foreign policy in the era of the First World War. An adherent of the " New Liberalism", he served as foreign secretary from 1905 to 1916, the longest continuous tenure of any holder of that office. He renewed the 1902 alliance with Japan in 1911. The centrepiece of his policy was the defence of France against German aggression, while avoiding a binding alliance with Paris. He supported France in the Moroccan crises of 1905 and 1911. Another major achievement was the Anglo-Russian entente of 1907. He resolved an outstanding conflict with Germany over the Baghdad railway in 1913. His most important action came in the July Crisis in 1914, when he led Britain into World War I against Germany. Edward Grey, 1st Viscount Lisle (died 1492) was an English nobleman who was created Viscount Lisle in 1483, in recognition of his wife's descent. Origins Sir Edward Grey was a younger son of Sir Edward Grey (c. 1415–1457) (a son by his second marriage of Reginald Grey, 3rd Baron Grey de Ruthyn) by his wife Elizabeth Ferrers, 6th Baroness Ferrers of Groby (1419–1483) His father was summoned to parliament as Baron Ferrers of Groby in right of his wife. Eddie Grey
Edward Ian Grey (21 December 1918 – 21 September 2004) was a Sri Lankan sportsman and a police officer. Gray was a former Inspector of Police (IP) and the first Ceylonese head of the Police Mounted Section. He also served as the Secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Ceylon. Edward Grey (bishop)
Edward Grey, D.D. (25 March 1782 – 1837) was an Anglican bishop who served in the Church of England as the Bishop of Hereford from 1832 to 1837. Grey was educated at Christ Church, Oxford. He held livings at St Mary, Whickham and St Botolph Bishopsgate. He was Dean of Hereford from 1830 to 1832; and a Prebendary of Westminster Abbey from 1833. He was nominated to become Bishop of Hereford by William IV on 4 May 1832 and consecrated as a bishop on 20 May 1832. He died in office in 1837 — on 24 June or 27 June or 24 July. Edward Grey (died 1676)
Edward Grey (1611 – 17 February 1676) of Ulgham Grange, Northumberland was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1660 to 1676. He fought in the Royalist army in the English Civil War. Grey was a younger son of Sir Ralph Grey of Chillingham, and his second wife Dorothy Malet, daughter of Thomas Malet of Enmore, Somerset. He matriculated at University College, Oxford on 18 November 1625, aged 14 and was a student at Christ's College, Cambridge in 1626. He was admitted at Gray's Inn in 1629. During the Civil War, he was a Colonel of dragoons in the Royalist army from 1642 until the surrender of Newark in 1646. He subscribed to the Covenant and the negative oath and compounded at £389 10s. He was in action again in the second Civil War in 1648, and commanded the royalist garrison of Berwick when he became a freeman of Berwick in 1648. The Hellboy Universe is the fictional universe of the ''Hellboy'' comic and its various spinoffs, created by Mike Mignola. Ned Grey
Edmond "Ned" Grey (6 April 1896 – 16 June 1974) is an Irish hurler who played as a goalkeeper for the Cork senior team. Born in Carrigtwohill, County Cork, Grey first played competitive hurling in local games in the village. He quickly broke onto the Carrigtwohill senior team, where his brother Jimmy was already an established player, and won a championship medal when the club claimed their first title in 1918. Grey made his debut on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Cork senior team for the 1919 championship. He went on to play a key role for Cork as a goalkeeper during a successful era, and won one All-Ireland medal and two Munster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. Throughout his inter-county career Grey made 9 championship appearances. He retired from inter-county hurling following the conclusion of the 1922 championship. Jack Kirby (born Jacob Kurtzberg; August 28, 1917 – February 6, 1994) was an American comics artist, comic book artist, writer and editor, widely regarded as one of the medium's major innovators and one of its most prolific and influential creators. He grew up in New York City and learned to draw cartoon figures by tracing characters from comic strips and editorial cartoons. He entered the nascent comics industry in the 1930s, drawing various comics features under different pen names, including Jack Curtiss, before ultimately settling on Jack Kirby.
