Education In Prizren
The first Albanian-language school in Kosovo was opened in 1889. That was the birth of public education in the well-known cultural and historical city, Prizren. "The history of our education is a story of war of efforts. A story of a small number of people, with a great spiritual world, and with a strong will to be independent." The schools closed during the war in Kosovo in the 1990s. Classes were held in private houses. The League of Prizren ( sq, Besëlidhja e Prizrenit), officially the League for the Defense of the Rights of the Albanian Nation ( sq, Lidhja për mbrojtjen e të drejtave te kombit Shqiptar), was an Albanian political organization which was officially founded on June 10, 1878 in the old town of Prizren in the Kosovo Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire. Loyola Gymnasium Prizren
Loyola Gymnasium Prizren is a private Catholic gymnasium boarding school, located in the city of Prizren, in the District of Prizren, Kosovo. The school was opened by German Jesuits in 2005, in the wake of the civil wars in the area. The school accepts equal numbers of girls and boys, from grade 6 through gymnasium.
