Eduardo Nascimento da Silva Júnior (born 5 March 1993), commonly known as Edu, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward for Cruzeiro. Club career Born in Rio de Janeiro, Edu made his senior debut with in 2012. He then signed for Flamengo in the following year, but only featured for the under-20s before moving to . On 7 October 2014, after being São Gonçalo's top goalscorer in the year's Campeonato Carioca Série C, Edu signed for Boavista. He returned to ''SGFC'' after playing rarely in the 2015 Campeonato Carioca, and scored a further seven times for the club before joining Itaboraí on 10 July 2015. On 21 September 2017, after scoring prolifically for Itaboraí, Edu agreed to a pre-contract deal with Brusque for the Copa Santa Catarina. 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B
The 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition began on 28 May and ended on 28 November. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2020 season, four promoted from the 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C ( Brusque, Londrina, Remo and Vila Nova), and four relegated from the 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Botafogo, Coritiba, Goiás and Vasco da Gama). Brusque were deducted three points after they were punished by Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva (STJD) for racial abuse aimed toward Londrina's player Celsinho during the match Brusque v Londrina, played on 28 August (21st round). A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines.
