Héctor Edgardo Novick Varela (born 22 November 1956 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan businessman and politician. Biography Starting out as a street market worker with his father, Novick developed an important business career. Novick co-owns Nuevocentro Shopping. In 2015 Novick was a candidate in the Municipal Elections. Nuevocentro Shopping
Nuevocentro Shopping is a shopping mall of Montevideo, Uruguay. It is located in the neighborhood Jacinto Vera. The name of the shopping center arose from a contest in 2009 called "Name your New Shopping", in which 20,000 proposals participated. The name chosen was Nuevocentro and reflects what the new commercial proposal will mean for the city of Montevideo. The mall With an investment of 60 million dollars, Nuevocentro shopping is the fifth shopping center with these characteristics in the Uruguayan capital. The project was presented in 2008, and had the endorsement of the then President Tabaré Vázquez. Once the municipal authorizations were ready, at the end of March 2011 the works began, which lasted 2 and a half years. Partido de la Gente (Spanish for "Party of the Folk" or "Party of the People") is a Uruguayan political party. History Founded in 2016, its main leader is Edgardo Novick. Three members of the party have been elected to the legislature: the Senator Daniel Bianchi and the Representative Guillermo Facello, both former Colorados; and the Representative Daniel Peña, a former Blanco.
