''Gente'' is a Spanish-language word for "''people''" or "''populace''". There is also another synonym, ''pueblo''. Locally, the word ''pueblo'' may have a left-leaning or revolutionary connotation, as used by other political groups such as ''
Partido por el Gobierno del Pueblo'' and ''
