Ed Turns
Edward James Turns (born 18 October 2002) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for the academy of Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion. He is a Wales under-21 national international. Club career Brighton & Hove Albion Turns debuted for the Brighton first-team in a 2–0 EFL Cup win over Swansea City on 22 September 2021. He was involved in a Premier League matchday squad for the first time on 15 December, remaining as an unused substitute in the 1–0 home loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Leyton Orient loan: Promotion to League One On 13 January 2023, Turns signed for EFL League Two club Leyton Orient on loan until the end of the season. Brighton
Brighton () is a seaside resort and one of the two main areas of the City of Brighton and Hove in the county of East Sussex, England. It is located south of London. The English Football League Trophy, known for sponsorship purposes as the Papa Johns Trophy after restaurant chain Papa John's Pizza, is an annual English association football knockout competition open to all clubs in EFL League One and EFL League Two, with the addition of 16 under-21 teams from Premier League and EFL Championship clubs since the 2016–17 season. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. First played during the 1871–72 season, it is the oldest national football competition in the world. It is organised by and named after The Football Association (The FA). Since 2015, it has been known as The Emirates FA Cup after its headline sponsor. A concurrent women's tournament is also held, the Women's FA Cup. Netherlands National Under-21 Football Team
The Netherlands national under-21 football team is the national under-21 team of the Netherlands and is controlled by the Royal Dutch Football Association. The team competes in the European Under-21 Championship, held every two years. Following the realignment of UEFA's youth competitions in 1976, the Dutch Under-21 team was formed. The team did not have a very good record, failing to qualify for nine of the fifteen tournaments. The team did not enter for the 1978 competition, but since then has reached the semi-finals twice, and qualified for the last eight on three other occasions. Since the under-21 competition rules insist that players must be 21 or under at the start of a two-year competition, technically it is an U-23 competition.
